About Fowey Valley
Fowey Valley Cider is produced in a small cidery in Golant, near the town of Fowey, Cornwall. We have crafted a range of food and drinks with our beautiful West Country apples.
Fowey Valley Description
Barrie Gibson and started to make cider about 15 years ago purely for himself, his family and friends. As word got around, more and more people brought him apples, the quality of his cider got better and better, people started to ask if they could buy some, and he came to think maybe it might be the time to 'go commercial'. He looked around for a base, and in 2012 he found a small orchard and lovely outbuilding that could be converted into a cidery in Golant, not far from where he lives in Fowey.
The current range includes the celebrated Sparkling Vintage Brut Cider, carefully nurtured following the two year Méthode Traditionelle process of fermentation synonymous with traditional champagne producers. Complementing this beautifully crafted Vintage is Casteldore, a medium dry blush coloured 6. 5% ABV.
Furthering the range, Barrie has developed Eau de Vie, a 40% ABV apple digestif and a delicious Pommeau 20% ABV which is a blend of Eau de Vie and fresh apple juice.
There is also a cider vinegar which has no preservatives and is not pasteurized and to complement this Fowey Valley also imports and bottles a gorgeous Sicilian Extra Virgin olive oil made from Nocellara Del Belice.

With January nearly over, this is the time of year when we complete our milling and pressing.
After the New Year there is lots of cleaning to do too!

Going into the New Year we'd like to thank everyone for all of your custom, support and kind words. It's been a brilliant year for us but we couldn't have done it without you!
We're looking forward to achieving even bigger and better things in 2020, and can't wait to do it with all of you by our sides.
... The team deserve a massive thank you for everything they do. Every apple picked, label applied, and drink (maybe more than a few!) tested doesn't go unnoticed. I'm sure you'll join us in congratulating Barrie and Gerry too on a stellar year!

Today is the first day of The Winter Gift Fayre - Truro. We'll be here every day until Thursday the 19th!
You can find us on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 5.30pm. Tonight and next Wednesday we're around for late night shopping until 9pm and on Sunday until 4pm!
