A great days fishing. Finally caught the Koi/ghost weird fish. Not too weighty but pretty long. Not my only carp of the day either.

SUMMER OPENING HOURS WILL BEGIN ON SATURDAY, APRIL, 14 th. (even if summer doesn't actually start) Tuesday to Sunday......7am to 7.30pm. Closed on Mondays.
It has come to my attention that some people have received notification that our opening hours have changed. They have not....currently open from Tuesday to Sunday from 8am to 5pm. Summer opening times will be posted in due course.
Our marvellous Muscovy getting cosy.
The pools are frozen so not fishable at the moment. Ducky has been brought inside and is snuggled down in a thick straw bed. Anyone wanting to fish should call us first to check on thaw.
Yes strict rules but love it went easter Sunday with my brother and a mate was on the island bother had a 15+ carp and was catching all day I was to the right of the island just off the bridge did not catch much then swapped over to the left and bang started catching carp nice day with abit of rain to ’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į
Used to fish here religiously as a kid not so long back, every weekend.
Made so many friends up there at the time, and people who really taught me how to fish properly.
Haven't fished for a good few years over there, but I know it was one of the best places I have ever spent an afternoon fishing. Even the small pond was rammed with quality tench and a few surprises too.
Very surprised to see negative reviews on here. Like I have admitted I haven't fished there for a good few years as I relocated to Devon, but I know the owner, and I also know how difficult it is to run a fishery.
At the end of the day, it is a business, and if anything or anyone causes issues or negativity for a business then it needs to be addressed.
The lakes are there for your enjoyment. Not just today, but tomorrow as well, and next year.
The fish are the prize for the anglers, and the pride for the owner so too right that hooks are checked, and standards are adhered to...you don't want to catch damaged fish, or less of them as the poor treatment has killed them off, and nor does the owner.
All in all, I have brilliant memories of the place, 100 lb bags of fish could be had in the summer from both lakes. The carp would be so keen on the hot days they would shuffle sideways up the gravel embankment in an inch of water where the horses drink to get bread that the ducks were eating.
Will definitely have to have another day there next year.
This is a great place to go! We first took our son (aged 11) to Foxhills just over 12 months ago. None of us knew how to fish but Alex really wanted to learn. We arrived at Foxhills with just a fishing pole! One of the owners, Diane, greeted us upon arrival. She was lovely and stayed with Alex giving him lots of advice. She also arranged for Alex to have some fishing lessons. He has been back many times since as he really enjoys going there. It's also comforting to know that we can leave him there and he is in perfectly safe hands. We fully recommend Foxhills Fishery. All the owners ask is that you are respectful of their rules, the fish and the other fishermen. We don't think that's too much to ask! Oh, and Alex says their bacon sandwiches are delicious!!!
Really well kept clean venue, fish in great condition, good food and handy tackle shop on site. Diane the owner was very helpful to us. I'll be going again this week. Ps don't listen to the bad reviews on this page these people must not of stuck to the rules of the venue.
Not been fishing for over 12 years now have just started again in the last few weeks. and tried these pools out and love the place for the well stocked pools and the friendly staff who run the fishery who can complain about the amenities fresh sandwiches tea coffee toilets and bait if you run out . would recommend it to all .
Loved it on my first visit 5 carp 2 bream and 6 roach weather a bit hot in day but cooled down late afternoon very clean place owners friendly
Just got back from a days fishing at foxhills with my brother. Hadn't been in years, but am pleased to say it is much improved. Site is well kept, good food, staff and facilities.....plus.....the fish were in real good condition.
Hats off to you.....Really enjoyed the day and will be returning. Keep it up ’┐Į
I spent a good day there on the pole on Sunday, I must say for the first time fishing it and not really an idea how to fish those pools line the regulars, I still managed to bag at least 50 fish including bream, crucian carp, roach and Rudd, all fish were in great condition, the owner was very helpful and polite, I'll definitely be a regular visitor after a very good experience there
I can't wait to get my rod out tomorrow and have a nice bacon sandwich and a few nice fish out.... Roll on 7am. Xxx
Haven't been here fishing for ages went 2 drop grandson 2 his dad ....WOW....clean site a cafe toilets well impressed ...no litter no kids spoiling the peacefulness or abusing fish coz they are left unsupervised and don't no what they are doing ...well done 2 all who have turned it around . AMAZING.
Great fishing and great food.
As long as your well mannered, follow the rule in place you will have a great days fishing.
Remember its a private lake where you pay and rules are there to be followed.
Always happy to have a days fishing here!
Fished here for years can not falt the place. Went today for a few hours had 13 carp up to 12lb all was great looking fish. Always have a good laf with the owners see u soon
Been there today, can't fault diane and her sisters, food was great! Fishing was really good (even in the dismal weather) fish after fish mainly bream and skimmers! Absolute gem of a place on our doorstep! Keep up the great work diane and sisters :) see you soon
Been fishing here with my grandad a few times now this year. Each time been greeted by a lovely lady to ensure we have a pleasurable day. Conditions of the fish perfect in a friendly atmosphere makes the day even better. Everything you need on sight from the perfect bacon butty to clean toilets an even able to purchase extra bait. You wont find a place as good as this anywhere close by. The rules are there not only to make her job easier but to help everyone else enjoy their days fishing.
Keep up the good work.
Keep on rocking !!!
My first time there very good had over 40lb of mixed fish with roach up to 2lb and bream up to 3lb very friendly place clean toilets and good advice from the owners will definitely go again I fished the small pool at the top but going to try the large pool next time
Been fishing here for 25 years but hadnt been for quite a few months. Surprised to see it is a members only but the nice ladies who run it had a vacancy so I was able to fish. Fished bottom pool , as usual plenty of fish. The condition of the fish has improved over the last few years and the strict conditions over the terminal tackle used will further help that. Even had hooks checked. No problem with that. No litter around and the sun was shining when I fished on Thursday 28th Sept. .
I'd been fishing at foxhills since George owned it on returning after a few years of Ill health I walked up to bottom pool to see if there was any spaces as car park was empty on turning to go back to get tackle and rods from car a lady shouted over "are you a member " I said no why her reply was"well shoo you ain't fishing here now off you go" extremely rude lady don't panic I won't be returning.
So I went to pipemill in staff had a great days pleasure fishing and a nice warm welcome from all
Went fishing there today with the wife and son. Only to be spoken to lke a piece of crap! The owner said we have to leave because my hook was barbed and too big! What the hell..... it was a size 10 barbless korda hook. Anyway other people were told to leave too. A nice place and we go there every week but nit n more!! A very rood lady and just a warning to people ...... go somewhere else as very strict. You will see for yourselves........No loyalty to regular customers!!!!!! Are well they have just lost 4 of us!
We arrived at the lake to the women telling us we might as well go some where else as we look like are tackle looks to heavy to fish here, I felt like the woman was being rude and jumping to conclusions . After 15 minutes of proving not all are tackle was as big as she assumed she let us on. Also the rules are ridiculous as itŌĆÖs not the hook link or hook size that damages the fish as a small hook will do just as much damage as a bigger hook and Fluro carbon hook link is basically stiff mono. Its not the tackle its the AnglerŌĆÖs that can damage the fish !!
