Come join us for a fun filled hour as our Children's book seller Charlie talks about History.
We will look at some of the most exciting historical time periods, as well as talking about our favourite books to learn from. Looking back to the Ancient World, the lives that children lived and how the world has changed.

we attended the book sigining with Giovanna Fletcher today and i just wanted to pass on my thanks and let u all know how grateful we are at the service u provided us with!. we cant thank u enough honestly.



i called and spoke to Mark (manager) a week or so ago and explained my little boy is disabled and dosnt cope well with waiting and queing, he assured me that when we arrive to speak to a staff member and they will take us to meet Giovanna skipping the que.



we arrived a few minutes before 12 and the wonderful ladies could not have been more helpful, she was already aware of the situation, took us to the very front of the line explaining to the people at the front who were also extremly helpful and understanding, and we were first to meet Giovanna! honestly i couldnt have asked anything more it made the whole experience for us stress free. there was a fair sized que and lots of babies and young children which my son really struggles to cope with, children making noise or waiting for long periods, and we were immediatly put at ease and looked after :). i really am so so grateful! thank u again!.

Really helpful staff, happy to search database (more than once!?) also came around the bookstore with us with suggested reading material fitting our likes. Peaceful, calm environment to enjoy browsing. Loved our purchases!

Popped in to get my dad a birthday present & the guy who served me (sorry, didn’t get his name) was amazing at recommending a book based on my description of what he liked. Also recommended me a book & was super friendly with obviously a lot of knowledge & expertise. Will definitely return here for all future book purchases!

My children adore coming here and the staff are always so welcoming and helpful! There is an amazing selection of books and it's all set out so nicely. Wonderful shop!

I went to the opening of Foyles new book shop in Chelmsford yesterday. I met Martina Cole fantastic, there was nibbles and drinks, the staff are lovely, you can also get a lovely cup of tea . Thank you Foyles for a wonderful experience �

Had the pleasure of bumping into Mr Foyle himself as he visited the new store today along with his wife. Very friendly people which is lovely to know! Staff were very helpful and I love the look of the new store!

Had a great time at Foyles Chelmsford this morning. Met an old friend from Witham. Then had a chat with Mr and Mrs Foyle. She is a fellow Katherine. CEO Paul listened to my observations and the staff were utterly charming. Delighted to have your company in Chelmsford. A happy and calm space for the bookish Chelmsfordian.
