What can I say, being chased down Humber Street while wearing a high viz vest by a woman wearing a wig, and who gave out bottles of Detol and tins of peas as raffle prizes...fab! Not laughed so much like that in a while. Great company too.

Well I work there as doorman staff nice polite to seen some bands get paid for it good venue

We have had two private parties at Fruit and cannot rate them highly enough. The Manager, Chris, is so organised and helpful which puts your mind at ease while making your plans and on hand during the event.



Thank you for helping make some special memories.

We had our wedding here and the staff were absolutely fantastic, we gave them our decorations and a vague idea of our vision and they went above and beyond for us. Amazing beer selection and amazing atmosphere. Thank you so much Chris and team, you made our wedding day special and everyone who was there could not sing your praises enough! Everyone has said it was a wedding to remember because of the setting! Thank you guys!!

We had a fantastice night seeing Moon Hooch and New York brass. Perfect venue, great drinks ,great staff on door and on bar.You might have to think about use of plastic glasses on the wilder dance night's though. Will definitely come back

Saw some great acts at Fruit today...

Elizabeth was amazing.. such a lovely voice & so confident.. great stage presence.. enjoyed her mixed set of keyboard & guitar.. well done..

Me and my other halfs first visit to the venue. Hull Fruit is a fantastic venue with great staff and great choice of Ales too, very unique and special decor too. Saw Snakecharmer there last night and great sound in the venue, so all in all its worth the 5 rating I gave.

Looking forward to going there many more times.

It was like a party, great atmosphere and the band Jezebel Sextet was fantastic also the lead singer was very charismatic. The staff are very friendly and helpful, great place to go.

I've gone to many events at this place and I've never returned home disappointed. Fantastic venue with that caters for all musical tastes (even classic house!) and all sorts of cultural events. I always have a good time here. ��

I attended fruit for the Harry Potter quiz last Wednesday and was shocked, in a good way, at the friendliness of the staff, the condition of the facilities and the excellent range of drinks on offer, despite being on soft drinks as I was driving. Will definitely be returning in the near future!

Had a fantastic time at the Comedy night last night. Great atmosphere, brilliant comedians, highly recommend it

Great venue, perfect for The Quireboys, we'll be back.

Great night at a wonderful venue. Staff are friendly and not waiting to long to be served. Toilets are a bit odd but it gives the place some quirkiness.

Great evening entertained by the Sex Pissed Dolls; staff were extremely pleasant; a very enjoyable short trip to Hull!

Fruit is one of those places everyone should visit!



They have a wide range of events on every month and a beer selection that is second to none!

Not to mention a great gin selection with excellent garnishes!!



With friendly and knowledgeable staff, each visit is a great experience!



We hired this venue for a birthday party, from start to finish the organisation and management of the event was completely stress free! All of my guests were very impressed with the service we received and we all had a fantastic time!!

Amazing night everyone was so friendly from the staff to the punters. This is just the kind of place Hull needs for up close n personal gigs. A must for anyone looking for a great night out.

A fantastic venue with super helpful staff! We held our engagement party at Früit last night, and had the most amazing time, thanks to Chris, Sam and the rest of the team �

We were extremely disappointed with a member of bar staff tonight. We asked for 2 gin and tonics and a glass of rose wine. He asked if we wanted White Zinfandel or ????(can't remember the other one) then asked if it was a large or small. We laughed as we said, "Large of course! Is there any other size of wine?"

He then brought our drinks and charged us £16.50. I thought it was a bit pricey but as the show was about to start we didn't question it at the time.

I then returned to the bar later and ordered 2 gin and tonics. It came to £6. So a large glass of rose was £10.50?

At the end of the performance we questioned the original price of our round and were told to leave our details and if the till was over at the end of the night we would be refunded our money. Without any receipt or way of knowing what had been served it was highly unlikely any refund would be given. We were then told that we had been given double gins. Now, I'm no gin expert but I know a double when I taste it. The £3 gin tasted exactly the same as the first one, so there was no way we had been given a double.

As it was pointless arguing with the bar staff, the bar tender was "totally honest" and "wouldn't do that to anyone" I'm afraid I had to put this on Facebook to warn others that may go to Fruit expecting a good, fairly inexpensive night out.

The show we had gone to see was a "pay what you can" performance. Because the bar had refused to consider a refund we couldn't afford to put any money in the bucket. I explained to the person holding the bucket that we had been charged £10.50 for a glass of wine and therefore couldn't contribute and he should take it up with the bar tender (I gave a full description of him). I also told the bar tender he needed to apologise to the performers as it was his fault we couldn't afford to put any money in the bucket due to his ludicrous explanation for charging so much for 3 drinks.

I really enjoyed the performance and will definitely go and see more of this theatre company, but not in Fruit.
