✈️ MY TIPS FOR PACKING YOUR SUITCASE
What can be more exciting than going on holiday? There’s nothing I love more than getting another stamp on my passport and exploring exciting new destinations and resorts whilst enjoying a well-earned break. But I can tell you what I really, really don’t love…packing. And I’m sure you’d agree, right?
... One of the most common mistakes made whilst getting ready for a holiday is packing too much into your suitcase. Not only is it often not necessary to take so many clothes and accessories, but it can also cost you money if your suitcase ends up weighing more than your allocated luggage allowance.
I actually feel like I have become a bit of a pro packer, often fitting a week’s worth of holiday items into just my hand luggage. So below I have detailed some of my top tips for packing-
My top 5 packing tips-
1) Wear your heaviest clothing to travel in, such as trousers and a sweatshirt or jacket to keep you warm on cooler evenings. After all, airlines weigh baggage, not you.
2) Invest in a lightweight suitcase or bag. That way you can afford to pack a bit more in there.
3) Don’t pack anything that you can buy out in resort, such as shampoo and conditioner. It’s often cheaper when you buy it abroad anyway. You’re likely to be provided with towels and a hairdryer at your hotel too.
4) Be ruthless with your clothing. Whatever clothes you think you’re going to need, get rid of at least a third. You’ll probably spend most of your time in your swimwear.
5) Roll, don’t fold. Not only does it save space, but it avoids creases too. Tuck underwear into the gaps and stick rolled up socks inside shoes.
Enjoy your holiday and make packing fun by putting together loads of different outfits by using only a few items!

The reality is, many of the women I come across feel the same way you do, – both scared of embracing colour for fear of looking silly and crippled by the concern that any colourful items they do add to their wardrobes won’t work with the stuff they already own.
The solution? Focus on one item and make that the vehicle by which you inject colour into your look. Add a pop of colour with a teal bag, for instance, (a universal colour which doesn’t look hideous on anyone), or a fl...ash of a pink shirt beneath a navy jacket or charcoal cardigan.
The other thing to note, particularly if your wardrobe is made up of neutrals, is that to start with you should focus on injecting primary hues into your wardrobe. A flash of cobalt or scarlet will work wonders against a palette of charcoals, taupe and navy and instantly lift a look, whereas softer tones of lavender and sage have the tendency to be treacherous. Steer clear until you’ve practised a bit. And once you’re more comfortable embracing a pop of colour, why not find out your ‘best colours’ so that you really do start to look and feel more fabulous. This includes your best navy (bright? french? airforce?), best grey (warm? cool? blue-grey? charcoal?) and best taupe/cocoa/brown...etc as well as the brighter colours. That’s when your wardrobe really will do all the work for you! Not only will everything look great on you, but it will also all match! So you’ll need less items and you’ll have more outfits! 🙌🏻 High-five to that!
