... The Hotel Majestic is looking for a passionate and dedicated person to join our Front of House team as a Night Porter.
All applicants should have at least 6 months reception/night porter experience within the hotel sector and be dedicated and customer driven with a strong work ethic.
As a front of house team member your self-presentation should be impeccable and you should be confident in communicating with customers - ensuring all our clients and guests are left with a positive impression.
The role will involve:
Responding to late night booking requests by telephone / email. Checking guests in / out of the hotel using computer software. Serving drinks to hotel guests and customers. Supervision of the premises overnight.
The successful candidate will be joining a hard working and customer focused team who work very well together to achieve the same goal.
All applicants MUST:
Have excellent communication skills and fluent English. Have at least 6 months experience of working in reception/nightporter environment. Have basic bar skills. Have basic computer skills.
You will posses strong admin skills and should be able to work on your own initiative.
This position has a guaranteed minimum of 40 to 50 hours per week with the opportunity to work additional shifts on a frequent basis.

Love this place! Gorgeous food in lovely surroundings.

I absolutely adore the Diana steak.. the best i have ever tasted. The staff are very attentive, when i needed my meat cooked a little more no hesitation was made and the plate looked like it did when it first came out. when me and my date couldn't eat all our food they were kind enough to give us little boxes to take the rest home. Always had a great experience there.

Having stayed at the majestic hotel on several occasions I have always walked out of the hotel and heading for food in the town..... Not any more I wish I did not leave the hotel and headed for the restaurant the starter of king prawn with garlic and chilli was freakin amazing..... And the chicken main course was like sex but without the nagging after telling me it was just ok..... So please if your thinking of a lovely meal I defo recommend this place.... I am going back to Scotland in 4 days and 4 stone heavier me thinks...

Far, far, far better pizza than anyone has a right to expect from Barrow-In-Furness!







Full English breakfasts are awesome too. Its worth staying at the attached hotel just so you can eat here to be honest!

Been a few times now with the family. Staff always very helpful and friendly, and the food is superb, would recommend this place to all friends and family

Lovely food for the price but extremely poor customer service. I have been three times and felt that the service got poorer each time. Neither me or my partner will be going again xx

Slow service meals are nothing special I won't be going back . Had to give it 1 star but deserves a big fat 0
