Great service from Scotty great food and atmosphere

Nice place good service, reasonable price during the week

Only decent if you go for a lunch when they actually have enough staff to deal with the amount of people, on a Friday night be prepared to be forgotten about and have to ask for everything. On top of that, a bottle of Brooklyn is twice the price of anywhere else, and the food is distinctly average.

Normally visit the St Andrews Quay one but on the way back from a trip we stopped at this one as it was closer. We are loyal customers at Frankies, it never lets us down. However, on this occasion... we were stabbed in the back. My girlfriend was wanting steak, they had none. I ordered chicken and wasn’t asked which sauce i wanted or which sides, i doubt the waitress knew me that well to guess my order. Fries was her guess, she was wrong. We ordered olives to start as we were both starving. We saw them on the counter, the waitress picked them up, walked towards us, then straight past us. 35 minutes later our mains arrived, still no olives. Why not ask a staff member i hear you ask, well I would have done however all members of staff seemed to avoid the aisle we were sitting down so unless I used a megaphone I would have attracted no attention whatsoever. Mains, as expected, were great. Starters & staff, not so much. Will be sticking to St Andrews from now.

Visited yesterday with 5 friends prior to a visit to the cinema. Order was taken, but the waitress came back saying the bottle of wine we'd ordered would be delayed, as there was none in the fridge, so it was currently warm. We cancelled that, rather than wait.
Three of us had ordered Spaghetti Bolognese, but when the meals arrived, these had to be sent back: the spaghetti was over-cooked to the point of almost disintegration, it hadn't been fully drained so the plate was swimming in water and the sauce was so thin and watery, it resembled soup.
We had no time to reorder and wait, so asked for the bill, which when it arrived was wrong; the 2-4-1 main meal offer hadn't been added, and the wine had been charged for.
We asked for it to be recalculated, and with no apology, it was corrected.
Three of us left hungry, and after the film went to Uno's on Princes Ave for a wonderful Spaghetti Bolognese.
Will never be visiting again.

We visited on a very busy Saturday night, arriving without booking and the staff warned us there would be a 20 minute wait for a table.
In the end it was about 15 minutes before we could be seated. We were quite lucky we arrived when we did as people arriving soon after were turned away as the place was just too busy. I would recommend booking if eating on a Saturday.
The food did take some time to arrive, but that was to be expected with the restaurant so busy.
The quality of the food was good as I would expect from F&Bs

Went with the kids and we all had a burger.. very good.. kids got an Oreo milkshake, very large and they loved it.. would happily go again..

Food was fine if a little mediocre though I expect that from a restaurant chain. The service however was well below standard.
Staff didn't know what drinks were available. So I ended up going to the bar and being served by 3 different people and still waited 15 minutes for a drink. The food was requested all at the same time (2 starters, 2 mains and a kids meal) they came staggered. So we had a starter while our 4 year old daughter looked hungrily on (she didn't like our starter unforunately). Finally the mains arrived and whilst we had finished and our daughter was still eating staff asked if we would like then desert fetching. Yes of course that would be great and a real encouragement for a 4 year old to finish her meal. Whilst there we witnessed members of staff turning customers away because they were full despite there being vacant tables. All in all I cannot recommend anyone dine her on the experience we had. Perhaps they were short staffed and others will fare better but it will be a long time before we bother with this particular place again.

Standard chain feel for this New York Deli/Diner inspired restaurant. Staff very good. Always had good service. Food portions are good. Great choice of desserts.

User

Staff great food slightly disappointing.
Didn't get what we actually ordered but was reasonable.
Pretty expensive as well and be careful with the drinks if you order food from one menu the unlimited drinks aren't on it AND THEY WON'T TELL YOU THAT THEY ARE CHARGING TILL YOU GO TO PAY. BEWARE

Service was very slow, Garlic bread was rock solid, squash was overpriced, food was over priced, chips were cold, burger was cold, but boyfriends food was scolding hot. People who arrived after us got food before us, even tho there was 4 of them and 2 of us. The cheese tasted awful. Over all a rubbish experience, worst part was the waiting for drinks, waiting to be seated and the excessively loud music.

The service is hit and miss if they are busy never accept a table near the door food is usually good waiting for table if you have not booked can be long but a nice family night out can be had here
