Service was very slow. Veggie burger wasn't exactly a burger was just a slice of pepper a piece of goats cheese and a Portobello mushroom swimming in oil. Children's meals were really good and great value for money.

We have been tonight and was very disappointed. We had to ask twice for cutlery. A drink we ordered never did arrive. Under the table was filthy too. It was busy but no excuse for such poor service.

Great service. Shame about the food. Starters we did enjoy. Cocktails tasted and looked fake doubt any alcohol in them. Main meal chicken wrap was too salty with loads of mayonnaise and a few slimy lettuce leaves. The chicken was tiny prices of hard, chopped up 'left overs' cheap chicken in breadcrumbs strips and only a small amount. Fries hard and over cooked. Lasagne was just ok but meat tasted fatty and greasy. There is a tax fee on the bill too. Such a shame to look forward to this treat and travel 5 miles for this. Would not return

Worst Frankie & Bennies I ever been to stay clear!!!! 1hr 45 minutes and still no sign of food!! Ended up cancelling and walking out. Seems the staff don’t bother reading these reviews as I’ve just noticed I’m not the first to complain about this.

Went last night and food was terrible! Pasta/ spaghetti dishes had hardly any sauce on, was mainly plain cooked pasta. Meatballs were very dry and over cooked. Very disappointed

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!



Frankie & Benny's has always been our go to place to eat mainly on special occasions & have never usually been so disappointed.



We went for the hubby's birthday. We sat down at half past 6 with only 2 other tables in the restaurant. We were sat down for awhile before we even got offered drinks & then was a little while before our food order got taken.



More & more people arrived & was obviously served. 2 tables near us got there starters before we did even tho they ordered after us, in fact these 2 tables had got their main & was was waiting to pay before we had even received our mains & when i questioned this the waitress went to the chef who then said loudly "you're joking, its only been.... " & also gave me a dirty look.



Anyway 5 minutes later we got our main, a hour & 10 minutes after we sat down only for my son's meal to be missing. When that finally arrived the fish goujons looked under cooked & were covered in oil & the beans missing. My husband's meal looked nothing like it did in the picture on the menu. Its was like it was all rushed because we complained. The side order of fries that cost over £3 was so small it was laughable.



In fact i wasn't impressed the whole "new" menu. There is less choice & was just the usual stuff you'd get anywhere.



So as you can probably guess it probably be awhile before we visit agian if at all really!

Both meals where gone in less than 2 mins I payed over £10 for each meal. We left still hungry and bit angry I had to go home and make another meal. Well below standards in all aspects!!!!

Second time I’ve visited in the optimistic mindset that the first horrendous visit must have been a one off. This time, the place was empty when we visited yesterday. We thought that would help us be served quickly, which seemed great. The bar lady was very friendly and asked us if we’d like a drink while we chose food. Our table was not set and had only two knives on it. There were several staff around who appeared not to be doing much and waitresses working in the kitchen while the ‘chefs’ appeared to be doing little. I ordered gluten free arrabiata and my friend ordered a calzone with no mushrooms. I’m not sure how long exactly we waited for the food but it seemed to be around 45 minutes, which was outrageous given that there was nobody there. When it arrived, the cutlery still never came and my friend’s calzone was one of the most shocking items of food I’ve seen in a long time. Didn’t look to be any cheese or sauce, just a slice of ham, a few slices of pepperoni and a ton of mushrooms. As he hadn’t asked for mushrooms, we sent it back. Before taking it, the waitress (who I think was the manager as she had different clothes on) argued with my friend that there was nothing wrong with his food. ‘Well it will be dry, it’s a calzone’ were her words. My friend is from an Italian family and the pair of us know enough about Italian food to know that this was far from it. She took the food for a replacement leaving me to eat my (cold) pasta alone. My pasta wasn’t just al dente, it was raw in places. Again, it seemed to have barely any sauce but was more dribbled in oil. It was mostly plain pasta in oil with onions and approx 2 olives. It was very poor for the money. My friend’s calzone arrived a further 20 mins later and they had put more filling in it and a large part of this filling was the mushrooms he’d asked to be removed. The lady who seemed to be the manager offered a very blasé and less than sincere apology and my friend thought he overheard staff mocking him, which I found upsetting. Staff removed the price of his food from the bill and when the bill arrived they had charged me for a Bolognese. I went to the bar to query this and again the lady at the bar was lovely, and called over the waitress to help. When I explained she said ‘yeah well you had gluten free pasta’. I explained that I certainly didn’t have bolognese as I’m vegetarian. She said she’d just charged me for bolognese to make up for giving me different pasta. What on earth?? She then returned with £2 deducted from the bill and said to me ‘sorry about that I just charged you for that one instead because of the gluten free’.



It’s not often I don’t leave a tip but the only tip required would be that I suggest they sort out their service pronto! We were in there an obscene amount of time actually waiting for food. Food was poor quality, not what we ordered and not charged correctly. As for them casually adding money on to the bill due to a food intolerance? Disgusting! That’s the last time I eat at Frankie & Benny’s :(

Our left overs that we asked for were put in the bin � offered a free pizza said no . After checking the bill the strawberry mess was deducted from the bill however charged for the carbonara that was way to dry and wasn’t eaten and told we wouldn’t be charged . Definitely 100 % won’t be back or recommend this place . The only positive review I would give the young girl that served us worked hard .

Went last night for my mums birthday meal, all the meals and starters were absolutely fine. However, my mums main meal had to be sent back twice. First time it was cold and then the second time it came back the pasta was red hot and the meatballs were still stone cold. Clearly microwaved and don’t care too much about the customers. The younger waitress was really lovely, didn’t get her name and she was really apologetic and tried her best. Service was fairly slow but we understood this was probably because their wasn’t many staff on shift. Could only see 2 waitresses and they seemed to have a lot to do so we appreciate that. But all in all, not impressed as my mum ended up cancelling her main meal as by the time we had all finished our mains, she didn’t even receive it back. If it was being made fresh we would have understood but the fact it was simply being microwaved just made it not worth the money at all.

Booked our table for 6.30pm at Blackburn and arrived on time. Was seated right away and ordered our drinks which arrived promptly. Ordered 2 sirloin steaks at 6.45pm. At 7.30pm we asked the waitress where our food was (45mins later) and after she checked she said they were coming out now and apologised for the long wait. The waitress brought our food out and advised that she'd brought out the food now due to our long wait but the mushrooms weren't ready and would bring them when they were done . . . Really?!?! Why would you serve a plate of food that isn't the complete order?!?! Fries were hot but greasy, steak was lukewarm and grilled tomato was stone cold. I ordered the garlic and herb sauce which came in a little jug and this looked and tasted like it was just melted garlic butter!!!! We complained (politely) and were offered 2 new steaks but these would take 15-20 minutes (we had already been there for 75mins) so we declined, finished our drinks (which they very kindly gave us for free �) and left - VERY VERY disappointed by the level of service and quality of food �

Booked a table for 2 adults two children at 5pm Mother’s Day when I arrived they had no record of it had too sit at the adult bar with two toddlers to wait for a table

When we finally got a table a had to clean around the floor as I didn’t want to see others dirty napkins etc

Sweet potatoes chips were burnt to a frazzle

The waitress did not warn the toddler that she was handing over a red hot plate

There was a huge sharp edge chipped out on the sauce dip for the child

I have been up all night vomiting and stomach cramps after eating there this food was rushed and must not have been hygiene standard

I’ve worked in restaurants I know this standard is unacceptable not an enjoyable experience
