we went there on mother's day and it was my sons birthday could not fault the staff and food was good and the staff sang happy birthday when they brought the cake out which we took with us will go there again

unfortunately the food was very poor had the chicken in pitta bread it had no salad just mayo chicken very over cooked grandson had hot dogs from Childrens menu sausages burnt on one side The place wasn't very busy just understaffed

shame really because my grandson and i love Frankie & Benny's and have never had this problem and that's why i didn't complain to the staff. the four stars are for the staff

Was OK not the best food I've ever had...fish was so hard on the edges..but was a nice place to meet up with family. ..

What has happened to our favourite eating place?



We have been going to F & Bs for years and years.



Today we visited your Bournemouth BH2 restaurant.



First thing we noticed was a change in music. No more 50 and 60s but some pretty awful chart music.



No more specials menu.



New menu given to us, none of the favourites present and the prices. Wow... expensive.



I have flown the F & B flag for years and although i like change, this is not a good one.

Service was very poor. After starters the cutlery wasn't replaced. Sauces were not offered. Pizza was wrong, burger was cremated and mushroom ravioli and mozzarella was cold. No one asked if we would like more drinks or if the food was ok. That was the first and last time I will be going there !!

Pretty terrible really. Waiter was very rude and when I called him over politely he waved his hands at me to basically say 'wait'.

I ordered the American Burger and couldn't believe what I got for the price of £14.95!! Meal said would come with onion rings and they forgot them. I told them and they brought back the smallest onion rings I've ever seen in a very small bowl! I complained about this and they said they usually go on top of the burger so that's why only 2. Whole meal considering it's an American restaurant served small portions. For the prices they charge you expect a good size plate of food. Not impressed by the service, the food or the atmosphere.

Ordered 2 half and half pizzas, one to dine in and another for takeaway. When the first came out it was not half and half, more like 1/3 to 2/3. How can you mess up half and half? Was assured the second would be half and half when mentioning this to the waiter. Got home and again not half and half. Slightly more towards it though, is say now 3/8 to 5/8! Takeaway pizza, which was supposed to be exactly the same has hardly any toppings, should of checked before leaving but was in a rush to feed my newborn. Second bad experience at this restaurant so will not be returned anytime soon. Would not recommend going here.

My partner and I visited the castle point branch on Monday and I must say we were disappointed. We waited over 10mins for the waiter to come and take our drinks order and when we finally got our mains, my partner was shocked to find the cheesy bacon fries that he upgraded to and cost £1+ extra were in fact fries with a few small pieces of bacon and a light shaving of Parmesan cheese on top! I had a pizza which was nice but very crispy and hard to cut through. Thankfully we used a groupon voucher so didn’t pay full price, but definitely not worth the prices they charge. This used to be my favourite place to eat �

I love Frankie & Benny's but I can't say the Castlepoint one is my favourite out of the ones local to me: I much prefer the one in the new BH2 centre! I feel they are much more attentive there & really warm and friendly and the handful of times I've been to the Castlepoint one, the staff just seem really cold and I said goodbye & thank you but the waiter seemed to ignore us/not hear and it wasn't even particularly busy :/ And always really slow service in the Castlepoint one (when there was only 3 other tables and our table of 4 in there on Sunday night 20th August!!), in comparison to the BH2 one & there, we always receive our food and drinks and offered desserts or the bill in brilliant time for the film we are catching afterwards!! Not shunning Frankie & Benny's as a brand but their Castlepoint branch could be improved! X

Went there for lunch today, would never go back again. Place was filthy, service was terrible and the food was almost inedible! Don’t waste your money. Will not be going back again �

Went for dinner with family,my father and I ordered steak,neither of them were particularly good very gristly, stringy, went from an 8oz to a 5oz😢 my son ordered a plain burger it came with everything on it😝my daughter ordered chicken pitta, the chicken was still pink 🤮not happy hardly ate any of it 😡😡

Went for dinner on Friday eve place was three quarters empty on a Friday. Ordered steak and spaghetti with meatballs steak was dry gristly and over cooked sauce was basically a solid lump. Meatballs were dense and tasteless spaghetti was ok but again pretty tasteless. Sorry but we won’t be coming again. You need to improve hugely.

We went there for a treat for my daughter, but was the worse dining experience I've ever had! The crispy chicken wings starter, not crispy!

The corn on the cob was stone cold, my rare steak was well done, and when I got my replacement the new steak was cooked well this time but could only eat half of it as very fatty! And the onion rings swimming in oil didn't look appetising! Not gd experience, we got the meal free, but not the point!!

We ate at F&B about 6 months back and really enjoyed our meals so we decided to return on Easter Sunday.



I ordered steak and fries. The steak was cooked as requested but almost every piece had fat, gristle, or sinew.



My partner ordered the goats cheese pizza which she didn't rate. To me it looked quite under cooked with hunks of raw tomato on top.



Our son had the Mini hot dogs from the kids menu with baked beans. He's not a fussy eater but the hotdogs were slightly charred, and the baked beans had added chopped tomato or something... anyway, he didn't like it.



Initially the service was good with the waiter promptly coming to take our order and not being too pushy. I did however sit with an empty glass for a good 20 minutes before managing to get a refill.



Also, I observed a member of staff refilling a glass ketchup bottle, that would be served to a table, from a squeezy ketchup bottle... both were Heinz labled but it did make me wonder, how long the ketchup at the bottom of the glass bottle had been there?



Overall, not a satisfying experience. ad the restaurant been busy I may have understood the service and food quality but it was at least half empty. Sad;y we won't be returning in a hurry.

Waited to be seated, got drinks, ordered food, expected food to come reasonably sharpish , not the hour n 45 minutes we waited, for nothing to arrive, were told another 15 minutes,,,,told no chicken, would we like to change to steak, now a steak takes 15 minutes to cook n rest,,,,it wasn’t busy, ,,,,so why were we waitin sooooooooooooo long ????

Cannot rate the food as the service was so poor we left , to be left waiting almost 2 hours for a meal is absolutely piss poor!,,, you’ve ruined my sons anniversary meal!,,,, people come to your establishment for a nice time,,,,not to be treated like you actually don’t need our custom,,, we will not be recommending you to anybody,,,,your staff couldn’t care less about your customer experience which I feel will be your downfall,,,, there’s better n cheaper out there with 100% better customer care!

Very disappointing. Brought cheesy garlic bread when stated no cheese due to allergies. Took 20 minutes for a new garlic bread. 35 minutes later for mains minus 2 sides that then came out once the mains were finished. Pizza was cold but by that time I wasn’t prepared to wait any longer. Had it been busy we may have been more understanding but there was hardly any customers. Probably for the best that we weren’t asked by the staff how our food was.

Thought we would give place a 2nd chance after last time when we had to wait over 1 1/2 hour for our food as they were a chef down . They didnt charge us so did acknowledge the delay but again yesterday with 3 chefs and the place prob 25% full we had to wait nearly 1 hour for a steak and cold fries !!! Not a good experience .. shan’t be back !

There was a wait due to shortage of staff in the kitchen...which wasn't a problem. Made our order a pizza without peppers, when my food came there were peppers on the pizza. I explained to waitress and she took it away without so much as an apology. My friends had eaten and finished their food and still no pizza or not did anyone come over to update me on my order. Over 20 mins passed and still no food. I caught the nice and helpful you man waiter and told him I no longer wanted this as my friends had now finished. He apologised and I advised the lady was rude and unapologetic and he said it was due to the staffing issues which I said should've have been shown to customer. My friends and I were on a day out which was slightly ruined by our Frankie & Bennys experience. 😕

I have just left with my family after the most terrible service. The person who was taking our order was an arrogant idiot! In the most politest words I can use! He doesn't have a clue how to serve customers at all. He left us for over 30minutes with our dirty plates in front of us. ( the restaurant wasn't full either)He doesn't understand personal space, and thought that he was funny. By the end my blood was boiling and I had enough. I went to the front desk to pay and speak to the manager. He came up to me to ask me if we wanted a desert. Very stupid !! I told him I had enough of waiting to which he was very rude to me. He was lucky my husband was outside! The manger was nice and apologetic. But by this point I didn't care and just wanted to leave.. here's a tip - get rid of that waste of space for a waiter.. we won't be coming back again!
