Dog groomers standing together for the NHS.
This salon is proud to be one of thousands of grooming businesses following the government and industry guidelines, closing to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
These are difficult times and as much as I would like to be open, I must do what I can to protect my clients and protect the NHS.
... I miss my clients and understand that they will be getting hairier, and being closed will have a huge impact on my small business but the health and safety of humans must come first!
Dog grooming is not an essential service and all salons, including home salons and mobile vans have been recommended to close to limit the spread of the virus, though I am aware some are still trying to work it is not worth the risk to have your dog groomed. Frontline workers are putting their lives and their families lives at risk to keep us safe.
Please Stay at home
-Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (if you are a key worker)
-If you go out, stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people at ALL times
-Do not meet others, even friends or family. You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.
Rest assured that I will be doing all I can once I reopen to get everyones grooms booked in. Please stay home, protect yourself protect your loved ones and protect the NHS.

Hello everyone I hope you are well and coping ok!
I’ve had a few requests from my customers for tips on trimming their dogs. Whilst I would advise waiting if you can (lots and lots of home brushing in the meantime) if you are desperate and want to try some grooming at home I can share some helpful videos. The lady that has put together the videos is a groomer from a Facebook grooming group that I am a member of and she’s given permission for the videos to be shared. My Frankie is not a very cooperative model so I haven’t tried any videos myself! 😁

Hiya everyone, This is a really useful guide with good tips for brushing your dog (especially useful for those with Doodle curly coats!!). I know that your dog is unlikely to stand as still as the dog in the video or be as cooperative, but please persevere if you can! My tips would be: 🐾 put your dog on a table (they are used to standing on a table for grooming) 🐾 choose a time when it’s quiet or a place away from distractions ... 🐾 reward good behavior with a little treat, but give them a firm ‘NO!’ If they are being naughty 🐾 little and often is best for those that are not playing ball 🐾 keep calm and enjoy! 😁

Dear all, Following the coronavirus update from Boris last night, I am sorry to say that I am now having to follow the government’s guidance and temporarily stop grooming . Once I am able to restart work I’ll let you know. Keep safe everyone. Vicky & Frankie xx 🐾

Coronavirus:
Frankie’s Pad is currently still open for business and I am committed to minimising the risk of Coronavirus to my clients.
I have put in place extras measures minimize infection, such as regularly disinfecting the surfaces in my grooming room, door handles and doorbell/door knocker throughout the day.
... I have one ask of my loyal customers; can you please wait outside the front door, where I will collect your dog for their groom/return them after their groom.
The above is precautionary, but i feel it’s necessary to ensure that I can deliver the right service for your dogs and reduce any risk of the Coronavirus spreading.
