A HANDS ON COURSE IN A STATE OF THE ART DENTAL PRACTICE
Train to be a qualified Dental Nurse in one year! ! ! No experience needed
The Dental Nursing Diploma (NEBDN) at FDE provides students with a wide range of academic skills and work related competencies to use on completion of the Award and registration with the General Dental Council.
Students benefit from the excellent facilities at the Frays Dental Centre, which include an onsite five surgery complex for hands-on training plus access to linked clinical courses and supplementary modules
Course content:
Students will understand and be able to put into practice the key competencies required to work safely as a registered dental nurse. The programme encourages the holistic care and treatment of dental patients and supports the nurse to understand and work within the boundaries of their role.
The design of the programme recognises the increasing need for theory linked to practice, which is supported through underpinning knowledge and work based clinical skills.
Special course features:
This is a part time course with evening classes.
There will be a limited number of clinical placements for selected candidates.
All students will have access to “hands-on” training in a clinical environment.
In addition, there will be a number of supplementary modules focused around professional career development, specialist skills, Minimal Intervention Dentistry, preventive dentistry and IT
