my first visit for lunch today. what a lovely place. friendly staff, good service, really tasty food.

love the decoration in the cafe and the place looks very cozy and nice. the food is well nice and healthy .would really recommend this place for lunch and coffee , and also recently they have started to be open on some nights of the weekend.

Without doubt the best food around. Service is always first class food is delicious and nutritious always leave happy and content. I really didn't want to give a review as I don't want to have to queue for too long but the food is amazing top place, really good �might be time to expand guy's �

What a little gem ! I thought we had enough places here but this one is special! The guys running it were lovely ! Always asking what you thought! And the water on each table was a nice touch too ! Lunch was nice and presentation good and my berry beetroot ginger drink very nice !fare price too I will be going back

We love F&D's. Best place in Epping for coffee and for a pre-meal drink. Brekkie and lunch are always fab no matter what you order. Staff are gorge and so warm and welcoming. Even when it's busy, a table will be available soon and the staff will be attentive to your needs. It's our fave place on the high street.

We had the most lovely breakfast this morning at Fred and Doug's! The food was amazing... everything is so beautifully presented, the staff are super friendly. The prices are absolutely right for the quality of food that you get - my other half had a 'fry up' which was as clean as it could be! I loved the fresh juices available on the menu! The place has a lovely buzz and community feel about it! Yes it's small and busy but that's what gives it such a lovely feel about it. Huge congrats to the these guys for setting up an independent cafe and for doing it so well! Totally deserve to be packed out! If you can't get seated right away, the wait for a table is worth while!

We had a delicious breakfast here today! Friendly, great service and just lovely to sit in the window watching the world go by. Highly recommend the bacon baguette and hot chocolate, I can't wait to come back (& to try your cakes)!

It was very busy when we went for Sunday brunch so food wasn't especially quick but it was delicious. Cracking cup of tea too and the staff were lovely. There was a really good selection of menu items too

I work on the high street & the bagels have become my new favourite for lunch & now the cakes are following, took my husband for breakfast he loved Doug's dish & I had the scrambled eggs & smoked salmon, amazing food, good service & happy atmosphere wat more can u ask for

I was recommended their smoked salmon bagels by a colleague and I was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious and very filling. I almost didn't have room for the yummy homemade cake afterwards (almost!). The only downside is that I only work 5 minutes away from this place and I am clearly going to get very fat, very quickly now!

I cannot fault this Deli and is exactly what Epping needs. I had the smashed avacado dish with smoked salmon on sourdough which was fresh and super tasty. The coffee is definitely the best in Epping. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, service was efficient and the ambience was spot on. Thank you Fred and Doug's .. I will be back!

Going to become a favourite. Had a great pre bike ride coffee and followed it with a delicious post ride lunch washed down with some very palatable red wine. Our regular Sunday ride has gone alcoholic and about time !

Friendly attentive staff with great produce. What's not to like the breakfast was a good size and tastes great. Will definitely go back soon. Oh I also purchased two freshly made cream scones for the wife she loved them...No need to get her flowers any more �

Found this wonderful independent on a day visit to Epping. Wonderful friendly service and my cappuccino and New York bagel were fab!

Food is good quality and nice variety, we had wine with some lovely cheeses and ham - love the celery bread coupled with service

First time there yesterday for lunch, we returned this morning for breakfast! Superbly presented and tasty food, great atmosphere and every little detail thought of, very happy we gave it a try and chuffed it's in my home town of Epping.

Amazing breakfast, friendly staff and dog friendly. When we arrived on Sunday morning needing a table for 5 and 2 frenchies the place was full. The staff kindly brought 2 tables in from outside and made room for us.

Am proud to have been the first customer to order the dougs dish breakfast absolutely fantastic this place is the place to visit if you appreciate good food and quality coffee

After all these years of the proliferation of coffee chains in the High Street so lovely to have good independent cafes with character. Love that the cakes are clearly home made instead of three tier monstrosities.

1st time visit with my daughter , delicious fresh , well seasoned food & the best mocha I've ever tasted . Great team . Buzzy atmosphere , comfy seats . Welcoming doggy water bowl outside . Will be back with my pooch .

Great coffee and cakes but the coffees are so small for the price half the size of the chains. Make them bigger and we would regulars

Expensive for small portions... disappointing meal. Only 1 vegan option..avocado on 1 slice of sourdough.. more like a starter than a meal.And a small glass of coffee that we had to pay extra for soya milk. £20 for 2 'meals' and left hungry. We won't be going back which is a real shame as staff seemed nice and we were excited to have a dog friendly eatery.

Walked in with a buggy. Wasn’t busy. One lady said there was space at the end by the kitchen. Another lady came along, said the buggy was in the way (which it wasn’t, there was loads of room!) I said there was going to be 2 of us so she said I should sit at the window (very uncomfortable seats and I needed to feed my baby) she made me feel very unwelcome and I felt really embarrassed. Left feeling humiliated and a burden! Went straight to The Little Kitchen who are lovely.
