Really helpful friendly staff. Had a lovely afternoon on a day boat

Great day out on the river, ideally situated for a trip through Norwich and a stop in a pub for lunch. The staff were great and service couldn't have been better.

Boat was not fit for purpose. Service atrocious.

2 MEN IN A BOAT 3rd Feb 2017 not the usual time of year to be mucking about on the river. We hired Sweet freedom for 2 days 1 night. and what a 2 days we had. On Fri 3rd Feb the weather was fantastic , we set off towards Brundall with the sun in our eyes a bit windy but very calm on the river, we moored over night at Loddon got the rods out and had a bit of a fish. It was frosty outside but inside lovely and snug with warm air heating and nice comfortable seating. We were asleep by 8 and up for breckie at 6.30. On leaving Loddon we saw 3 barn owls numerous marsh harriers among others all set off by a lovely sun rise and not a breath of wind. A steady cruise back to our final fishing stop near Rockland broad. Fishing good, nice 4.5 lb Bream and various perch and roach, saw a kingfisher skimming across the calm water. Sweet freedom is a lovely cruiser she handles very well indeed , many thanks to all at freedom boats especially Nicola give them a try i am sure they have the boat for you. see pics.

Had a half-term break with this company's boat "Absolute Freedom". When dealing face-to-face, they are lovely people, but communications over phone and internet are a bit hit-and-miss. We had a slight problem with the bedding, and they drove out to us to sort it out. Unfotunately, the engine managed to ingest something it shouldn't have ingested and we were rather limping along for much of our holiday, but you don't want to hurry on the Broads.

Don't expect the newest, smartest boat and you'll not be disappointed. All the important bits worked, Andrew's tutorial is lengthy but thorough, and the easygoing nature is most welcome. We would definitely consider using them again.

Just got back after a week using the fair freedom boat 3 adults 5 children
And here is my review
At first glance it's a big boat fairly easy to manoeuvre but you have to remember it's 44ft long so speed and distance have to be taken in consideration when driving the boat , I would try something smaller at first to get use to the river before going on to the big boats .
The boat itself inside is no hotel , very basic sanitation and hot water seemed to be the ongoing issue whilst on board , I would recommend using showers at mooring stations wherever possible and remember to fill the boat up with water at every opportunity, I found sleeping the hardest issue to cope with , the beds are uncomfortable and the pillows provided only add to the discomfort so bring your own pillows as I will on another occasion, I may even go to the extreme of bringing a blow up mattress as this might bring some relief from the awful make shift beds , the kitchen is basic but you can cook light meals although there is really only room for 1 person to cook and when you get children or adults walking up and down the aisle when your trying to cook can be quite challenging, the seating area at the front of the boat is ok , as I said don't expect 3 seater sofas but it was ok to seat 3 adults and children , I would recommend bringing some DVD films for the children at night as the TV reception is appalling , we had an issue with the water pump on one particular night and the issue was addressed the very next day , the toilets are another issue , I wasn't sure if the tank was full or whatever other reason but one of the toilets kept filling back up again with urine and shite 5 minutes after flushing it the smell on some days could be very overpowering so we stuck to using mooring stations , that said I would use freedom again but I would be better prepared next time , the boating side of the holiday was 10/10 it's a wonderful experience plenty of places to go to , in 6 days we went as far as beccles and plenty of pubs and restaurants on the way , a lot of places charge for mooring at night so it's best to stock up for food and drink and then drive to a free mooring station , although some of these places can be quite remote but that's the fun of it , your only noisy neighbours will be the ducks and swans so if you have children remember to bring duck food , the swans are amusing to watch as they argue for feeding spots , you'll have a lot of fun , 6 days was enough for me but with better preparation I would do a full 2 weeks on fair freedom , 4 stars from me , the toilet and hot water was my main concern , the sleeping arrangements was something i could have dealt with better if I was informed before hand , only take what your going to use as space is limited on board , no granite suit cases you'll just regret it . Many thanks will use again

Shame they don't review their phone calls. Left multiple messages to try and hire a boat out for a few hours, and did not have the courtesy to return the call, even if would to inform they had none to hire.

Very dissatisfied of a complete lack of service.
