beautiful place with Amazing food, seafood gratin which was beautiful then for main i had the roast beef which was cooked perfectly, followed by the chocolate mousse which was light and fluffy

Wow! We have eaten here a number of times and came yesterday evening for my partner's birthday. The food was unreal! My partner was the first person to try a new starter they had just put onto the menu and it was excellent.



The food and service was great and will definitely be eating here again

World class food in an equally outstanding setting. Even the lamb fat bread as an appetiser blew my mind with so much flavour! We really didn't want to leave and even booked to go again while we were still at the table! It's a food lovers dream and you'll definitely be back again, and again.

We went to the Freemasons Arms on Sunday 17th, there were ten of us in total for our family fake Christmas lunch. The whole experience from start to finish was superb. Not one out of our ten had a problem with anything. I personally had the beef which was cooked to perfection. Thus place us an absolute must try...

Unreal dining experience! We had the taste of the freemasons menu. Food A1 and i loved all the little touches and theatre with the meal. The chef bringing your food and explaining the dish and the produce used to make it was an excellent touch. Will be back!!

This is a special place..... Sunday lunch was awesome.... service impeccable, price good value for the standard.

The Freemasons experience is wonderful - very well looked after all evening and the food is divine. Such a different experience to dining that will be repeated again and again. I can't wait for my next meal with them.

I visited the Freemasons last night for the first time and it was 'Chippy tea'. Never tasted a dab so fab!! Then my fish and chips, as good as the chips were I had to finish my whale of a fish, the batter just crunched and melted along with the beautiful white haddock. Where do I start with my pudding, Devine.. Thankyou Steven and team your hospitality was fantastic and those chocolates well..... scrumptious. xx

Had an amazing night last night at master and apprentice. The food was exceptional and the service and staff were fabulous. I don’t eat meat and the staff were super attentive to my needs, very much appreciated. It’s my second visit and can’t wait to return. Wish you were closer to preston �

Had a lovely Mother’s Day lunch with the family. Steven’s cooking never fails to excite and with Aga and the front of house team providing friendly knowledgeable and attentive service. Looking forward to our next run out to the Ribble Valley.

Great menu of beatifully prepared food in lovely surroundings. Enjoyed a 4 hour lunch of plaice followed by the Amalfi lemon meringue, both superb. It was our first visit and we would happily return.

First time at the Freemason's and we will be back soon.

We had the 'Simple' Sunday Dinner which was fabulous, there was nothing on the short menu that didn't sound good so we each choose something different. Unfortunatly, little sharing went on as the food was so good!

They have a very goid wine list and the rose cava we picked was out of this world.

Can't actually believe I live 5 minutes away from this place and it's the first time I've visited.... and certainly not the last. Amazing food, attentive friendly staff and a bar tender that knew her stuff. I really can't fault this place at all. Every recommendation I've had is totally justified,

We went for my husbands birthday and even received a birthday card on the table from them and cake after the meal. Attention to detail second to none. It's truly a taste sensation not to be missed!!! Fabulous!!

Amazing food! I savoured every mouthful....I didn't want it to end. Rabbit and langoustine starter was heaven and the fillet steak was the best steak I've ever had!

Absolutely loved our anniversary meal here. Fantastic tasting menu and wine flight. Felt really special and would thoroughly recommend.

The food was exceptionally good and we had the Tasting menu which was pretty huge and very filling.



Canapés, bread and dessert where decidedly good and the grouse course was brilliant. For the other courses I do feel that Steve has a bit of a bad habit of putting one too many flavours on the plate.



A delicious Tandoori scallop was accompanied by pork and a very rich pork pie sauce. A cheese hot dog was over-powered by the addition of truffle. The lobster dish had raspberries on it ? All in all just perhaps need to make the dishes a bit simpler ?



Lovely food overall though and great value.

Food was very tasty but portion sizes very small so make sure to have the starter and desert if you can afford it.

We opted for Sunday lunch

The starters were delicious but I was extremely disappointed with the aged beef roast

It was served on a narrow rectangular plate and comprised one roast potato,2 small slices of roast beef (delicious) a humongous Yorkshire pud and nice veg

Overall it was a small serving

We felt that the pub is a victim of it’s own success as there were long waits between courses.
