Friargate Quaker Meeting House, York

Quakers have been worshiping at Friargate since 1674.

We are located in the centre of York, UK, near Clifford's Tower on the upper part of Friargate, between Clifford Street and Castlegate.

Due to Covid-19, we are currently only taking room bookings for limited hours during the day and we are not open during evenings. All rooms are wheelchair accessible, WiFi and a hearing loop are provided. Contact friargate@yorkquakers.org. uk for booking enquiries and to discuss our new guidelines.

On Sundays, around 90 people meet for Quaker Worship at 10. 30 am on Zoom and a lunchtime Meeting for Worship every Wednesday. On Sundays we have children's activities for different age groups. Please email for more information and Zoom links.
