Friends Of Forty Hall Park Description
Friends of Forty Hall Park is a group of volunteers who play a vital role in enhancing and protecting our green space.
Our group works with the Council, giving residents and regular visitors to the park, a greater say in what goes on at our three monthly meetings.
The group volunteers with time and energy to get involved with a range of projects including:
In a practical way by helping in some of the more general work in the grounds (i. e. leaf raking, litter picking in fact wherever help is needed)
Contributing to the management of the park
Fundraising for improvements and events in the park
Enhancing biodiversity (e. g. creation of wildflower meadows, installing bird boxes etc)
Practical tasks like clean-ups of beds and tree planting
Leading walks and talks.
As a general rule volunteers working with Parks must be over 17 years of age.
Volunteers may be described as individuals who offer their time, experience, knowledge and skills, free of charge, with the primary aim of helping to help maintain our park.
