Friends Of Highfield Park, Blackpool

The Friends is a small local Charity who work with the local council to make improvements on the park and create a more inviting green space for all.

We are a local charity group, who care about the park and the local community. Running fundraising events to help make improvements on the local Park, holding Sports Coaching sessions for Youngsters which includes free Youth Crown Green Bowling sessions in the summer. Our local Councillors also run free Tennis lessons all year round. The Friends also maintain a Community Garden within the park, through our Community Gardening sessions in the #GreenGym. The Community Gardeners meet on a Wednesday and Friday weekly during the Spring & Summer and fortnightly in the Autumn /Winter - weather permitting as we are fair weather gardeners. We occasionally hold Park Tidy Up /Planting days. We work with the local council to create an inviting green open space for everyone to enjoy.
