Friends Of Moseley Road Baths

Friends of Moseley Road Baths have campaigned hard over the past few years to turn the Moseley Road Baths, a Grade II* listed building into a fully functioning and viable community facility. We believe that the building can have a bright future if there is proper commitment from our council, not to mention investment and maintenance. Our activities have included active lobbying, including letter-writing, stalls and stunts, fundraising events, exhibitions and awareness raising. In January 2010 we announced that we had been successful in our bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund for £47, 900 to run a heritage project within the local community. This includes writing a book, recruiting volunteers, conducting oral history interviews, a film project in schools, creation of a DVD teaching resource, a series of events and exhibitions and a 'Theatre in Education' project, incorporating the stories we are collating.
