Friends Of Queen'S Park Cricket Description

The Friends of Queen’s Park Cricket is a not-for-profit organisation that has applied for Charitable Incorporated Organisation status with the Charity Commissioners. Within this application the following charity objectives were submitted: -

• To promote Queen’s Park, Chesterfield and cricket in Queen’s Park as part of the heritage of Chesterfield, for the benefit of the public, including but not exclusively, by ensuring the facilities are maintained and fit for purpose for cricket at all levels

• To advance amateur cricket for the benefit of the public of Chesterfield in particular, but not exclusively, by promoting the Queen’s Park Cricket festival in Chesterfield;

• To advance the education of young people by participation in cricket at Queen’s Park and including, but not exclusively by the establishment of an annual children’s cricket festival;

• To advance Queen’s Park, Chesterfield and cricket in Queen’s Park as part of the heritage of Chesterfield, for the benefit of the public, including but not exclusively, by developing a history of cricket in Queen’s Park;

• To advance amateur cricket in Queen’s Park by the provision of grants in particular, but not exclusively to Chesterfield Cricket Club
