We are the Friends of St Joseph's and we have created our Facebook page to help keep you up to date with our latest activities, events and information.
Friends Of St Joseph'S School Description
Welcome to The Friends of St Josephs Facebook page. We are a group of parents, carers and teachers who all work together with one aim, to put together fun activities and fundraising events to provide equipment and events to benefit the children who attend the school.
We organise various events throughout the school year including Movie Nights, School Discos, A Christmas Craft Day, Quiz & BBQ not to mention our annual Summer Fayre.
We meet up several times a year to put together our events and discuss new ideas. New helpers and volunteers are always welcome to join the group, muck in at the events or just find out more about the group and what we do, if you would like to get involved look out for our next meeting date (usually in an evening over a glass of wine or a pint) the details will be posted on our Facebook page, on Twitter at https://twitter.com/StJoeHandsworth or send us an email to friendsofstjosephsprimary@gmail.com

Dear Parents/ Carers,
We would like to invite you to the first Festival of Arts show at St Joseph's on Wednesday 17th July 2019. It is an opportunity to view the amazing art projects that the children have been working on throughout this summer term from Nursery all the way through to Y6.
The hall will be transformed into a contemporary art gallery and you will be greeted by our Y6 art curators, who will also be serving drinks and canapes as you wander around the exhibition.
... There will be the chance to win the fantastic art show hamper filled with lots of creative art supplies in our Festival of Arts raffle. (£1 per strip).
We do hope you can join us for this exciting event.
Tickets are purchased on the door for £2 per family.

Happy Friday everyone. Don't forget to come along to our School Summer Fair on Sunday (11am - 3pm) if you have any unsold raffle tickets please can you bring them with you (we've almost run out!) You can bring your stubs and money for any tickets you'd like to buy on the day to - just make sure you hand them in before the raffle is drawn 😉
Not long now until the fair. Fingers crossed the weather will be good. Thank you for the donations already brought in to school. The jam jar competition is hotting up!! The class that brings in the most full jars wins a prize!
Don't forget you can bring in your raffle ticket stubbs and money in to the office... Please bring any unsold raffle tickets back too.

A massive thank you to everyone who's donated prizes for the raffle at this Sunday's Summer Fair. Special thanks for the signed Sheffield United shirt for beat the goalie. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Please start bringing your (full) Jam Jars in to school. The class with the most full jars will win a prize!!
If you have any sold raffle tickets remember to bring the stubs and money in to the office too.
Can donations of toys, teddy bears, tombola, bric-a-brack, books, DVD's, plants be brought in next week.
... And cakes, buns and food for the international food table come in on either Saturday or Sunday morning labeled and list any allergens.

We have some amazing Raffle Prizes again this year - thank you to everyone who has donated them. Here is the list of most of the prizes, sorry for any I've missed off.
Please bring your ticket stubs (and money) to the office and you'll be entered in to the raffle... If you'd like to buy any more tickets again the school office is the place to go - good luck 😀
*UPDATE: Two of the missing prizes from the list are 2 x rounds of Golf for 4 people, one at Hillsborough the other at Beauchief*
Don't forget it's Y1, 2 & 3's sports day on Thursday afternoon 1.30-3.00. Y4, 5 & 6 July 9th, same time. Let's start praying for sunshine lol
**On the day the children will get changed into their PE kit at school; trainers or plimsolls, shorts and a T shirt (not provided by school) in their house team colour (Prophets in red, Angels in yellow, Disciples in green and Saints in blue). Weather permitting - suncream and a full water bottle too please**
Nursery's sports day is 10th July.

Don't forget TOMORROW is the Father's Day present sale. £2 per present, the children can buy more than one present. If you could put the money in an envelope with your Childs name on that would really help - thank you.
