*Update 1.30pm: POWER SUPPLY NOW RESTORED*
Due to power issues supplying Frimley Park we are currently running all essential services via backup generators.
Please don't come to A&E except in a medical emergency. Instead consider alternatives such as your GP, pharmacy or NHS111.
... Thank you for your consideration.

It's Biomedical Science Day and our Frimley Park team members are talking to patients, visitors and colleagues about their work. Biomedical scientists are at the heart of healthcare, helping to diagnose diseases and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments by analysing samples from patients. In the UK alone, healthcare laboratories are involved in over 70% of diagnoses in the NHS, handling more than 150 million samples every year. #attheheartofhealthcare

After a successful #endPJparalysis campaign, @frimleyhealth colleagues across the trust pledge to sustain their good work to promote patients' wellbeing and improve their experience while in our care. Ideas include more social dining, exercise initiatives, encouraging use of outside space and day rooms. Well done everyone!

An estimated 1.4million people in the UK have a learning disability, according to Mencap, and they are 2.5 times more likely to have health problems compared to the general population. That's why the role of learning disability liaison nurses is so important in our hospitals. They can provide specialist advice, resources and support for health staff, the patient and their families and carers. Acute learning disability liaison nurse Emily Belton has been talking to visitors and staff at Frimley Park this week as part of Learning Disability Week. #LDWeek #TreatMeWell

We are nearing the end of the national #endPJparalysis campaign @Frimley Health. So far our patients have spent over 10,000 fewer days in our hospitals by recovering quicker #dressedisbest. But it doesn't end there - our staff will continue their good work long after the campaign ends.

Well there are no words to express the gratitude my family and I have for all the staff on the maternity units at frimley, my labour was very traumatic to say the least and we would not have gotten through it without the most amazing team of midwives! You really are heroвҖҷs. A woman in pain is the not the easiest to cope with, but I never felt anything but love, respect and dignity from each and everyone of you. I will eternally be grateful xxxx

User

This hospital is amazing. They saved my dad last year and I am eternally grateful. Every single member of staff I met were amazing kind and helpful. From intensive care unit to high dependency unit to the shop staff. Thank you frimley

User

The staff in the Surgical Assessment Unit have been absolutely amazing today, I canвҖҷt thank them enough. They didnвҖҷt give up even when results kept coming back without answers. They really listened and I genuinely felt they wanted to do their absolute best to help me. пҝҪ

Thank you to ambularatory emergency care, the MRI unit, radiology and neurology what an amazing team you all are and thank you so much for all you have done for me and looking after me I'm not the easiest of patients пҝҪ

My mum and myself were very greatful to the thoroughly decent paramedic (Darren) that saw to my mum while she was enduring massive discomfort over a week ago. His professionalism and courteous manner was reassuring for both of us and no doubt helped to ease my mother's recovery. Such essential members of the medical profession are a credit to the NHS!

My daughter had her first baby daughter on the 6-2-18. She was delivered by midwife Victoria Collins. Firstly I would like to praise Victoria she was amazing and after a long 12 hour shift stayed an extra hour so she could deliver my granddaughter. The total care from when my daughter was admitted to the moment she left was second to none. This is the hospital to choose if you want first rate care. Our NHS is up and running. Thank you everyone I now have a beautiful granddaughter who arrived in this world under the care of first class dedicated team.

My daughter fell out of a tree on Friday 13th April and we went to A&E who were great and she had an xray and was sent home with a collar and cuff as her Elbow was badly fractured! We came back Friday 20th to the fracture clinic and after another xray found that the elbow wasnt mending. So my daughter was straight into surgery saturday morning.

I just wanted to say that all the staff and surgeons where amazing. My daughter is no longer frightened of hospital and became quite fond of the staff. The best hospital visit we have had.

Thank so much to all staff on ward F1. пҝҪ

Massive thank you to the amazing people who looked after my daughter (and me) when she was admitted on Mon 12th March via A&E for surgery for ovarian cyst torsion. Every single person - consultants, nurses, porters, ward assistants - all were absolutely fantastic and I canвҖҷt thank you all enough for your care and support пҝҪ #saveournhs

IвҖҷd like to thank the staff on SADU & F4 for looking after my Nan, Aldine Saunders, during her last days with us. They were very friendly, welcoming and extremely understanding and did all they could to help her, until she passed away peacefully yesterday morning..пҝҪThank you all so very much

User

I just want to thank all the staff at childrens a&e and the pedeatrition that was working the evening of the 10th of March, my boy was brought in with breathing problems and we were seen straight away and the care he recieved was amazing! The staff were rushed of their feet but we're still in high spirits even after I witnessed the nurse in charge being spoken to like utter crap by a parent because it was taking longer than expected for their child to be seen as there were many emergencies that were priority! I cannot thank them all enough for helping my boy get better xx

User

I just saw someone on Facebook thanking the emergency services for their help and it reminded me about my mum who passed away earlier this year. The paramedics were absolutely brilliant and I'm sorry to say that I meant to tell them, but it was manic, then it just went out of my head. So, sorry it's late, but I do thank you from the bottom of my heart and appreciate everything you did to help her. I had another 5 weeks with her, and if it wasn't for you we would never have had that precious time together. Thank you.

User

I can't praise enough the A&E crew. I went in today ( May bank holiday and the hottest day of the year) and I was seen almost straight away. The staff are amazing, very patient and helpful and we are so lucky to be treated with so much care.

Thank you, you beautiful human beings пҝҪпҝҪ

Big thanks to the staff of Frimley Park Hospital on Friday night/Saturday. Especially those in the Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) who made the process of my stay and surgery so much easier for me. All the health care assistants, nurses, doctors and sisters were brilliant and so lovely! Especially Karen in the SAU who comforted me the whole time. I cannot explain how grateful I am for making a negative experience so much easier.

User

Big thank you to the brilliant paramedics that picked me and my three children up from the hard shoulder of the A331 after my son had a prolonged seizure on Saturday evening. It was a very scary and harrowing experience being stuck on the hard shoulder of a very busy road in the dark on my own with all the children. The crew arrived promptly and were so efficient, kind and reassuring and didn't hesitate to assist me in bundling all my children in the back of the ambulance and making us all feel safe. Keep up the good work guys! You are fab!

User

i was rushed in to Frimley Park Hospital yesterday and cant thank the ambulance crew, staff and personnel enough for the care, treatment and support they all gave over such a difficult time. We are so lucky to have such wonderful caring people, who are calm and professional at all times, even though they are clearly busy they do a wonderful job and deserve praise for the work they do. Thank you

I have a friend who is terminally ill with cancer. Very unimpressed with Frimley Park Hospital. Went to pick up a friend who is very poorly. First of all the ward was untidy. Then the Sister told me he had his TTAS for discharge when he didnt. (Sloppy)Then I had to point out to the nurse that he couldnt walk the distance to the hospital entrance as he was so unsteady on his feet.( Assessment?) She phoned for a chair but the porters refused to bring one, so I went off myself to find one.And then to really role model professional standards the Sister called the patient 'Darling' despite this almost certainly being against Trust policy. The public toilet needed cleaning as well, plus a hand gel dispenser was not present on the wall outside a ward. There were hand gel dispensers by the entrance but the general public were all using them as the left, not when they went in! The standard of care was OK but nothing more than that. One wonders where they get their rating from. This is a hospital that gives NO car parking concessions to people having cancer treatment, despite the fact that Macmillan have complained about the hardship it causes.
