Although the hospital is experiencing problems with the power supply, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns about yourself or your baby

User

It seems very tempting to put your baby on a pillow or in a sleep pod/nest. However comfortable we may think these are they are potentially not safe for your baby and may increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome(SIDS).
Recommendations from The Lullaby Trust and Public Health England suggest the following: • Sleep your baby on a firm, flat, waterproof mattress. Soft surfaces make it harder for baby to lose body heat and to maintain a safe sleeping temperature • Avoid... heavy bedding in favour of sleeping bags - which can help regulate the sleeping temperature • Avoid the use of cot bumpers or ‘meshes’; sleeping positioners’ or hammocks • No pillows for sleeping until at least 12mths of age • Avoid covering the head • Avoid lots of soft toys in the cot/crib Further advice can be sort from your midwife or health visitor or found at the following link (https://www.lullabytrust.org.uk/safer-sl …/sleeping-products/)

**To all of our expectant mums** Our team of midwives on the labour ward have observed that women are attending in labour with sun tanned bumps, dehydrated and with signs of not having eaten sufficiently. The midwives are worried about you; please ensure that you stay in the shade and have plenty of water to drink to keep you hydrated - your urine should be a clear light colour. Whilst you may not feel hungry and are having lots of salads it is important that you prepare for ...labour and eat some carbohydrates to give you long lasting energy. Thank you Frimley Park Midwives

Happy 70th birthday to the NHS from all of us, proud to be part of this great team #‎NHS70‬

User

This advice is still relevant to help you keep cool

User

Babies are not as good at regulating their body temperature as we are, so it's important to keep them cool. Read these tips from NHS Choices for more information https://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/1955.aspx

** A polite request from our sonographers** We ask that you do not bring your child/children with you when you attend for your scan appointment. The sonographer is performing a skilled clinical examination and needs to concentrate. You are welcome to bring your partner or a friend to support you during the scan, only one person may accompany you into the scan room.

We would like to thank everyone for their excellent care over the last few days. Every single midwife, student and care worker has been amazing.

They have gone the extra mile and I would highly recommend this hospital.

Special thanks to both the Donna’s, Lauraine, and Georgina just to name a few!

Baby Tristan, Sunel and Jason

We delivered in April 2018 and had what was classed as a traumatic birth. Throughout the team were amazing and I couldn't fault them even if I wanted to. Their communication was amazing, they were really professional and they made us feel as safe as they could. I wouldn't hesitate in going back if we were to have anymore children.

User

Today my baby boy is 8 weeks old and I would like to go back to the amazing day he was born. I would like to thank all the staff of the birth centre in Frimley Park and especially my midwife Janine for what I can only call the best birth experience! Thanks for giving my son the best possible start in life. I gave birth in two other countries before and while good it was not even close to the care I received here. I wish every woman to have the same outstanding birth experience.

User

The team at Frimley has been absolutely brilliant, I can't thank them enough for the brilliant care they gave us from the 1st Midwife appointment to Birth.

Unfortunately we have now moved out of the Frimley Midwives team area and are seeing a real difference in responsiveness. You are all incredible and the NHS should learn from what you do!

User

The midwives are so lovely, kind and friendly here and really put your mind at ease so thank you but a massive thank you to one midwife who has had me laughing and smiling and feeling calm while I have been in worry is porshara spencer (apologise for spelling) she is always smiles and friendly no matter what time of night. This one lady has made my visit so far one in a million, can't wait to have my baby at this hospital I know we will be looked after well

User

Thanks to all the midwifes from Frimley Park Hospital for being so caring and patient with me and all my screaming moments, one year ago from this day to 31 December, when my little treasure decided to arrive, they had the patience to listen me and check me almost every day till Maya came,I don’t remember the name of all of them but I remember it was a lovely lady Francesca(from Italy) and she looked after me so good and encouraging me that everything it’s gonna be alright

Maybe you all think that you are just some midwifes but in reality you are so much more for all the mothers from this world, you are helpful and patience and we are eternally grateful for all your hard work and good soul Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all the midwifes, doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals ! #Thankyoumidwife

User

Thanks so much to all at Frimley Park Maternity Unit, especially the wonderful Mulberry Suite. You were caring, encouraging and supportive every step of the way for my second son's birth and we are so grateful.

User

Thank you to the incredible maternity unit and to our wonderful midwife Sarah, for helping with the birth of our beautiful little girl in August. Would highly recommend the maternity ward to expectant mothers, all the staff are constantly on hand, going above and beyond and are so reassuring. The team become your family whilst you are there. Such an amazing team of midwifes you have here , i came into the labour ward in full blown labour as I couldn't make it to the mulburry centre where I was supposed to go , as I was wanting to push and in loads of pain , so your amazing team got me a room straight away with a midwife round from the mulburry centre asap, her name was victoria, she was with me the whole time listened to me and help bring my 2nd baby into this world without any problems , thank you victoria for all your hard work and helpfulness on that special day my son was born 29th august 2017 @12:59pm, thank you all so much you are all amazing and I would definitely recommend you xxx

My wife was induced on Sunday 4 Feb 2018, which was a long and tough process for her. She spent two days on the antenatal ward. It was hard, but made easier by everyone we met who were wonderful, kind, caring and understanding.

She then moved into the labour ward where she spent a further 12 hours. Again, this was hard, but we were so fortunate enough to have the wonderful Vicki Coleman as our midwife for the whole time. Vicki was outstanding from the moment we walked onto the labour ward. She was calm and considerate the entire time, even though we had a few complications along the way. And despite arriving well after her shift had ended, Vicki delivered our beautiful baby girl, Charlotte.

Due to complications, my wife ended up in theatre and, again, the team could not be faulted. Despite it being a highly stressful situation, they put my wife and I at ease and created a relaxed environment, whilst being totally professional.

I cannot recommend the care at Frimley Park Maternity Unit highly enough. They are simply amazing. Throughout the entire time in Frimley Park, we must have come into contact with more than 40 staff, all of whom were incredible. Thank you so much for your care and ensuring the safe arrival of Charlotte.

User

I’d like to thank all the midwives and doctors who cared for me & safely delivered my baby. Also for the amazing aftercare we received. Absolutely fantastic team of people, really couldn’t fault anybody

User

I would like to to say a massive thank you to the midwives (Francesca) and the staff at Frimley. I couldn’t have wished for a better experience. The service is outstanding and the staff really go the extra mile. Thank you

User

I went in to early labour on Wednesday 7th February at 35 weeks pregnant! I went in to frimley on Thursday 8th for continuous monitoring not what you want in very early labour but necessary to make sure our little baby was ok! From the moment I arrived frimley maternity shone! I was on antenatal on Thursday and moved to labour ward on the Friday, I then delivered on Saturday 10th after a very long labour and ended up with a ventouse delivery! I can not fault the staff that helped me during that time! To name a few who were amazing Lauren, sineade, Mariana and Laura who were with me during my labour and delivery were all fantastic and so reassuring thought the whole process! I then got transferred to TCU for some extra care for our little boy Albert who was then treated for jaundice as he was premature! The staff in TCU are incredible and really made what was a very long 10 day stay in hospital so amazing! TCU staff who helped us massively were Julie, Katherine, Chandra and Monique all so fantastic and lovely! The staff mentioned really were all absolutely incredible and a credit to frimley maternity and the NHS! Would highly recommend frimley for anyone in the future who is having a baby!

User

I was induced on Saturday due to having excess fluid. Due to the fluid, I had to be induced on the labour ward for safety reasons. This induction process unfortunately took a long time (it was quick with my first) and I didn't have our baby girl until Tuesday Morning. During these four days, I had 5 midwives (Jess, Karen, Zoe, Deirdre, Lindah) and two student midwives (unfortunately I didn't get their names) - all of these midwives were lovely, very supportive and chatty. There were two midwives who made the whole experience better for me (as better as it can be when you are in labour) - a very special thank you to Jess and Zoe, at times without you guys, I don't know how I would have got through the experience! And also a big thank you to Lindah for safely delivering our baby girl. I would recommend this hospital to anyone for their labour.

User

I feel privileged to have had my baby here. The Mulberry suite is a wonderful facility with incredible staff (in particular Jannine and student midwife Donna). I needed to go to the labour ward at the last minute so I didn’t get to stay in the Mulberry but the rooms are very luxurious and the birthing pool was so relaxing. I would highly recommend Frimley maternity services!!

User

Had our c-section here & I can’t fault the care & attention given to you and your baby’s welfare.

We also had to return as I became quite poorly. Again, lovely ladies who were rushed off their feet but always on hand for a chat and cuppa when you can’t sleep and constant care.

Considering the pressure these ladies are under, I couldn’t recommend Frimley Maternity Unit more. Thank you for looking after us and getting us back home safe & well again

User

From start to finish I cannot fault all the staff are frimley Park Hospital. Was sent in by the Midwife Jan (who has been amazing from day one) with symptoms of preeclampsia and stayed in for 2 days. Was given an emergency C section and all the staff on the wards and in theatre were outstanding. I was terrified and felt so unwell and they really looked after me and my newborn son.

I cannot thank them all enough and they are all a huge credit to the NHS!

Thank you everyone

User

Amazing, super helpful staff who gave me 5* care. No stone was left unturned and the speed with all the tests being ran were fantastic. Many thanks to all staff at frimley park hospital!

User

Absolutely fantastic!!! Having been diagnosed with gestational diabetes I was in for regular checks and have to say everyone I had the pleasure to meet was fantastic!! I was taking in to be induced on 16th April and our beautiful baby boy was born at 00.12 on 17th. With a special thanks to my midwife Lauren Alexis who was amazing! She was relaxing, reassuring and informative throughout. She was easy to talk to and her professionalism was was above and beyond! I was seconds away from getting an epidural but Lauren made the call to hold fire as she believed it was too late and she was right............ minutes later welcome to the world baby boy! Gillian Coyle was also amazing and myself and my husband unfortunately didn’t get chance to thank them properly before being moved to the ward! I do hope Lauren gets to see this - this experience was much better than my first child’s birth in another hospital
