We’ll be attending this event at the weekend. Be great to see some of our patients away from the surgery!

User

We are here! But if you don’t feel safe enough to come in today we fully understand. Please call in and let us know!

User

We have a temporary phone line! So we are contactable on the same number this afternoon. But may still have issues tomorrow.

User

If you’ve been trying to call this morning we can only apologise. We’ve spent an hour trying to figure out what’s wrong. And then looked outside, looks like the phone cable may have been a victim of last nights wind!!!
We also have no main internet so can’t respond to e mails. Feel free to contact us via messenger on here if need to cancel or adjust appointments. We will update on here as soon as we’re back up and ringing!!

User

Before you reach for a glass of wine Wednesday or a midweek beer and the football. Think of these advantages of having a soft drink instead!

User

Normal service should be resumed this morning. We are expecting the phone line to be very busy so please have som patience. We will do our best to accommodate emergencies as a priority today.

Disaster strikes. We have no electricity!!!!
At the moment we are not sure how long we’ll be without power. However without electricity we are unable to provide any services. If you have an appointment this afternoon it may be better to rearrange but we can’t book new appointments without our computer system! So please call tomorrow.

User

Due to a power cut the surgery will be closed this afternoon. We have tried to contact as many of our patients as we could. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please contact us tomorrow to rearrange.

User

David would just like to apologise to any patients inconvenienced this week.
“My son had an accident at the weekend and he’s been in the hospital. He’s been waiting for a minor op to put him back together again, which all went smoothly this morning. I’m very sorry for the short notice cancellations and hopefully normal service should be resumed tomorrow.”

This is something we do go on about a fair bit here to our parents. It almost doesn’t matter how well your child or you brush their teeth if there are too many snacks being eaten. It’s how many times a day food and drink with any sugar in is consumed. Ideally no more than 4 per day and that includes breakfast lunch and dinner. You really should cut down on the little and often snacks. Kids can be hungry and they should get used to it. Offer them water next time they ask for a snack instead of food.

Back to normal today. A new year and a new start. When did you last come and see us? Is your check up over due, or has a friend of yours being saying they need to get to the dentist?
If so spread far and wide we have some availability for examinations for old and new patients over the next couple of weeks. Give us a call.

User

Merry Christmas to all our patients. Hope you are all having a great time.
The surgery is closed today and tomorrow and next Monday for New Year’s Day. Otherwise we are open normal surgery hours. But we are expecting to be very busy on Wednesday. So call early if in pain, but we will do our best to accommodate emergency problems. If not painful try and delay until next week when we are likely to be a little quieter.

Happy Halloween!
We hope everyone is having a fun evening, big handfuls of sweet treats is almost inevitable, but it’s so important to try and be treatwise.
Grazing on sweets over several hours will cause damage to your child’s teeth. Try to just let your kids have a couple this evening quite quickly and save the rest for post meal treats during the rest of the week and avoid snacking between meals!
... We don’t want any “screams” at your next visit to us!!!

Many patients have started to use charcoal toothpastes and are asking us for advice. To sum up the linked article there is little to no scientific evidence to support the companies that manufacturer them claiming they will whiten your teeth, or improve your oral health. In fact some of the toothpastes do not contain the vital Fluoride levels required to strengthen your teeth and prevent tooth decay. So could harm your dental health and leave you at greater risk of tooth decay.

User

A really important message and it's something we fully support at Frodsham Dental Surgery. And mum you can come too.
On the NHS all of your dental care is free whilst you are pregnant and for the whole year after birth of your child. So there is no excuse not to join up and start your child off on the right road to dental health!

What an excellent idea, our colleagues at Vicars Cross are trying to satisfy their sweet tooth but without sugar. They look delicious.
Maybe we should give it a try!
