Would you like to Learn to Ice Dance or improve your Ice Dance skills for the recreational pleasure, Tests, Competition or Championships?

We are Ice Dance coaches Lynn Burton & Duncan Lenard, between us we are Former Junior and Senior British Ice Dance Champions and Medallists, International Gold Medallists, European and World Ice Dance Championship Competitors.
We trained under World renowned Master Coach James Young through our Competitive, amateur years until we turned Professional after our last European Championships in 1995.

Duncan started teaching alongside training at Alexandra Palace in 1990 and also days at Chelmsford (Riverside Sports Arena) and Stevenage before it's closure.
In September 1997 he joined one of the most well known shows "Disney On Ice" travelling around the world playing many characters.
On returning to the UK, he coached in Planet Ice Birmingham before settling in at Solihull Blue Ice Plaza where he has been coaching for the last 15 Years.

Lynn started coaching straight away after Europeans in 1995 at John Nike Leisure sport Complex in Bracknell where she had a very happy and successful 8 Years coaching pupils of all ages and levels through to Championships.
In the one year achieving Novice, Primary, Junior and Senior Champions in solo and couples.
Around the success of the pupils and competition training, she coached group numbers for the famous John Nike Pantomimes every Christmas and skated in them alongside her coaching colleagues.
She left Bracknell in 2004 to teach alongside Duncan at Blue Ice Plaza, Solihull to start training youngsters and Adults to reach their goals in Ice Dance and has now been there 11 years.
Together, we have coached many adults and couples to Adult Championships and the most popular International in Oberstdorf, Germany with medal success. we have coached alongside James Young at his course in Engelberg, Switzerland for many years whilst training. Ice Dance Courses in Anglet in France, St Polten in Vienna with Master Coach Vivien Dean and one we have taught now for 10 years every January, The RAIDAG in Celerina, St Moritz Switzerland.
Over the last 10 years we have also taught 1 day workshops in the UK.

We are always looking for new venues in the uk and Europe to hold Ice Dance courses for all standards and we will keep you updated with any courses that are going ahead.
In the meantime, you will find our very enjoyable "Annie's Edges" class every so often throughout the year during The Mercian Ice Dance Club.
We coach separately or together, we can also demonstrate all the dances as a couple to Level 10 (Gold) and Gold Bar.
