About Ftww Fair Treatment For The Women Of Wales

FTWW supports, advises, and empowers women living in Wales and seeking optimal health care. We want equality of provision, and campaign to this effect.

Ftww Fair Treatment For The Women Of Wales Description

This page, open to all, has been set up to work alongside our closed, women-only, group https://www. facebook.com/groups /393110234196590 / .

On this page, we aim to post articles about the health services in Wales, pieces discussing gender-based disparities in (global) health care, and updates regarding FTWW's work.

FTWW has been set up to empower women living in Wales who feel like they would benefit from practical advice / help / support dealing with the health-services in their locale, irrespective of the conditions (mental or physical) with which they're suffering.

At the moment, FTWW's main campaign is focused on benign gynaecological conditions, such as endometriosis and adenomyosis, although that does not preclude the many other conditions of which members complain. Our members report struggling to cope with their issues on a daily basis, whilst simultaneously trying to access good care and treatment, something made difficult both as a consequence of their gender - and their location.

On the back of this, a fundamental aim of FTWW is to campaign for change in the way 'unwell' women are perceived and treated by society, the medical profession as a whole - and NHS Wales in particular.

If any of this sounds like it might be of help / interest to you, please become a member of FTWW by signing-up via our website www. ftww. co. uk or, if you're female, joining our closed FB support group.

If you feel like your health problems are often dismissed as being 'all in your head' or you're infuriated at hearing this sentiment directed at your female friends / relatives, then FTWW is the organisation for you!

We're not 'mad', we just want 'even'. : -)
