What a turn out! We jiggled our socks off this morning at Funky Owls Nursery; so lovely to see so many of our families, and meet some new ones!

Look how much fun Sycamore had today on their Polka Theatre trip! Children took part in drama games and craft making, as they lead them through some charming autumn stories. Have a lovely weekend!

We are thrilled to announce that Funky Owls Nursery will be opening it's doors to host a one-off Join in and Jiggle class, open to all local families, on Saturday 3 November at 10.30!
If your little one is a fan of songs and dance, why not come along and join in the action-packed fun! Tickets are £5 on the door [siblings under 1 go free/ £2 for over 1s].
The Nursery will remain open for children and parents to Stay and Play until midday.
... Refreshments are £1.20 (£1 with if you BYO a reusable cup!)

Our lovely team are back in today, in full swing after a successful training day yesterday! Led by our wonderful nursery manager Lucy, the girls got stuck into team building exercises, safeguarding training, and prep for upcoming audits. Great work gang!

As a first time Mum, I was very anxious about how my little boy would settle at nursery. Luckily, the staff at Funky Owls were excellent and looked after, not only my little boys needs, but were also aware of how I was feeling too. They were so supportive and reassuring during his settle period and within a short period of time he was happil...y waving us off in the morning!
I have been delighted with his key worker who has been caring, approachable and informative at all times. She has developed an amazing relationship with my son. The baby room manager and her team have a lovely relationship with the children and the staff are a credit to the organisation. They work tirelessly with enthusiasm and genuine care for what they do. I believe our key worker and the baby room manager really care about my sons development and have nurtured it continually. Each day, I am given a thorough handover to let me know how his day has been and our key worker always tells me anecdotes so I feel informed about his time at nursery.
Management have been excellent; from initial queries by email, to visiting, to arranging registration and beyond. Lucy responds to emails quickly and efficiently and is present in the setting too which I think is so important. She has always been very friendly and helpful and able to answer all of our queries. She regularly arranges events for the families which creates a feeling of community.
We feel genuinely sad that our little boy will have to leave funky owls because we are leaving the area. He has thrived there and has developed some very close bonds with a number of staff members.

Another amazing staff training day. Topics covered today were Safeguarding and Special Educational Needs. We look forward to reopening as usual tomorrow.

As its 'People who help us' month all our children were very busy doctors, nurses and vets this week! Heart, Lungs and brushing teeth-we know all about it now!

Thanks to all our families who joined us for our annual sports day; we had a super, if sweltering, time! And a special well done to the mums in the parents 'tug of war off'! 👍

Zuzanna is one of the few people I know in my life with such a huge passion and dedication to what she's doing! Her nursery is going to be the most wonderful place for every child!

Our little 2.5 year old boy has been going to Owls for 16 months and is really happy there. He's developing into a confident, secure little man in no small way thanks to this nursery.



He's always surprising us with something new he's learned, and the varied activities seem to do the job! The chef does a great job, the menu is enviable and the team have always been so friendly and accommodating.



I love that they actively encourage the children to be outside as much as possible and he comes home dirty- feels like he's really enjoyed himself!

My son has been at Funky Owls since he was 12 months old and they’ve been great at helping him develop. Even though he’s only there two days a week we’ve noticed plenty of new skills he’s obviously picked up there. We love that the kids play outside as often as weather will allow and that he gets to mix with kids of other ages too. Definitely recommended.

My little one was there for couple weeks and odd days when she was only 6 months. I was thrilled but everyone at Funky Owls is absolutely amazing and she loved it!!!

My daughter has been at funky owls for more than 2 years and we couldn't be happier. From the baby room right through to the pre-school, she is always engaged and excited to be there. As parents we are so grateful to have found such a genuinely caring, enriching environment for her. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

My Son has been going to funky owls since he was 18 months old. The staff are always so warm and friendly. They have passion and motivation to help children develop, have fun whilst feeling safe and secure. I would hhighly recommend to anyone.

Incredibly thoughtful staff and management, excellent care and people you can really trust will go the extra mile for your children. Outstanding!

I have had the pleasure of meeting Zuzanna and her staff a few times now and I have witnessed the way this nursery is run and I can honestly say hand on heart " funky owls" is the go to nursery if you want that peace of mind always!..

My daughter (4) is learning to read and write, and loves the teaching.

My son (2) is brilliantly looked after and constantly engaged with learning and games.

On top of the usual stuff (and a huge outside space) there's gymnastics, teddy-tennis, "the football guy", soft play, and trips to the park.

The chef cooks lovely food.

Open 6:30am-7:30pm.

Easy to park and commute.
