My name is Nigel and I am a Fully Accredited Practicing Hypnotherapist. Mind You…. that wasn’t always the case.

The course of my life has seen many interesting twists and turns from seeing the world as a young man with British Airways as a Steward to working with the rest of my family in our own family run hotel and later owning The Crooked Beam Restaurant in Christchurch for 12 years.

It was just prior to the Millennium as I was approaching 50 that I felt some form of change was necessary in my life to give me a new direction. I was looking for something that would give me a deeper level of commitment and understanding of life in general. This is when I turned to the Healing Arts. I initially studied Anatomy, Physiology & Massage. I then proceeded to learn Reiki at all three levels and then Sports and Remedial Massage to professional standards.

It was in 2008 when I was just browsing through a newspaper that I saw an article regarding Training in Hypnotherapy and this was like a “Light Bulb” moment – Hypnotherapy had been an area I had been interested in since I was about 15! I was then off and running with the biggest career change of my life.

After all the training had finished, I started practicing and am now proud to say I have a flourishing business (90% through recommendation). I treat an amazing selection of problems from smoking and weight control to more complex psychological problems.

I can now say for the first time in my life I have truly found myself. I now look forward to the future with keen anticipation and am excited about developing an increased awareness of the positive roles that Hypnotherapy, Massage and Reiki can have on peoples` lives.

I practice from home where my wife & I have had constructed a purpose built Therapy Room at the far end of our tranquil garden where treatments are undertaken in a calm and relaxing setting.
