G. Denny & Sons Ltd

Possibly not unique but there certainly aren't many hardware shops like Denny's left. Fabulous range of goods, friendly, helpful staff and a time machine (backwards only) for a shop. It is still possible to buy one screw from Denny's should you so wish. Must-sees: Pegboard displays out the back, beautiful nail chest ( I want it), ancient balances and a fine selection of architectural ironmongery. And yet, despite all this old-fashioned charm, they are becoming a serious web presence...
