You're cursing how quickly time flies and fearing that you've missed your window of opportunity to re-establish some vim and vigour in your sward.
... Well, fear not! Help is at hand. At G. & J. Staines we have ample stocks of low nitrogen fertilizer which is ideal for autumn cultivation.
Nitrogen encourages growth above the surface and is present in higher levels in fertilisers for spring and summer application but in the autumn you will be looking to encourage your grass to develop a healthy root stock to guard against the ravages of winter and prepare for strong upward growth next spring.

After what was, by and large, a pretty decent summer, the weather has now taken a definite turn for the changeable, with some days feeling decidedly autumnal; and yet, taking a leaf out the book of all good “posties”, I'm sticking with my shorts . . . for a little bit longer at least.
Jeremy, on the other hand, has decided that enough is enough and, taking advantage of the arrival our new Percussion clothing stock last week, has opted for a change of outfit; out of his shorts... and polo shirt and into Dickies work jeans (£21.60 incl.), a new Percussion Bordeaux Legend shirt (£22.20 incl.) and navy Warm Vest body warmer (£26.88 incl.). I suggested that he just move about a bit more if he was feeling cold but my suggestion fell on deaf ears!
