So we recently bought a new mincer that we use for making our minced beef and our burger and sausage mixes. It’s a bigger machine to our previous model and we keep it busy every week. However what we didn’t take into consideration is that taller machines need taller staff......the steps have never been in such demand!

When the dry age fridge is fully stocked with beautiful beef it can only mean one thing.....Father’s Day must be soon!

Took delivery of this beautiful fore rib and sirloin beef from MacDuff 1890, courtesy of farmer Walter Wight. His beef won many rosettes at the Christmas auction Ricky attended, so we expect great stuff from his beef!
It’s gone into our dry age fridge and will be available soon. Alternatively customers can reserve ribs if you’re planning a home cooked Fathers Day treat!

It’s #nationalbarbequeweek and the forecast for this weekend is looking good ☀️☀️
We’ve been busy today loading up the kebab skewers - (bbq chicken and minted lamb pictured)
The beauty of our chicken kebabs is that unlike some supermarkets we use premium, succulent fillets whereas supermarkets use cheaper cuts like thighs, which are a tougher meat because of all the work the thighs do!) AND most of our marinades are gluten free!

Ever wondered why our butchers blocks always look so scratched??
Apart from the obvious cuts from knives we clean them by taking a layer of wood off them. That’s the best way to keep them clean and ready for another day’s cutting!

Always hard to tell how busy we’ll be on a bank holiday half term weekend but 😮😮 that was busy!
For any late shoppers who tried to visit us before 3pm we apologise but we had to close at 2.45pm as we literally had not a single kebab or minted lamb chop left! For those lucky enough to get some of the 1000 kebabs we sold then we hope you enjoy them!!

We’re drawing straws for the last one!! As bbq season will soon be here we’re sampling some pork belly ribs marinaded using our very popular Chinatown marinade. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it! 🎻🎻
