Here is some information regarding recent newspaper articles claiming that 3rd party repairs will brick your apple device. THIS IS ONLY THE CASE IF YOUR TOUCH ID/HOME BUTTON HAS BEEN REPLACED!!! This only affects iPhone 6 onwards and is only related to replacing the touch ID (home button) If you have had a screen replaced and the original home button (TOUCH ID) has been used you will NOT have this issue. Here is a bit more detail, the TOUCH ID is uniquely paired with the mot...herboard in each iPhone meaning that it can never be replaced as it will no longer be 'paired' with the motherboard for that particular iPhone. When the update is initiated a hardware check is carried out during the update and the software detects that the home button is not the original and therefor throws the error 53 at you. You can of course still have this issue if you have never had a repair on the iPhone, if your touch id is not functioning correctly or the button has been damaged in any way then when updating you will have the error 53 also. Also this security measure has been implemented since IOS 8.3 so if you have had screen repairs and have updated to a later software then this proves what i am saying is correct. Also we have repaired many many iPhone 6 6 plus and 6s phones and ALWAYS have used the original home button from the damaged screen, we have never had a customer report the error 53 issue to us after the repair. We do not and never have offered the TOUCH ID/HOME Button replacement service at Gadgetguru due to the above. We also only use genuine Apple replacement screens guaranteed. If you have any questions regarding this then please don't hesitate to contact me and i will provide you with the information you require. 1 more thing if you have had your screen replaced somewhere and have this issue then contact the repairer and IF they have your original home button and reinstall the original button the error 53 will be resolved.

Don't usually leave reviews but sent my iPhone 6 for repair to Foneangels and they had it for seven weeks to replace the screen and a flex cable they said was broken, finally got it back and it hadn't even been touched. I messaged Barry Friday night and he said he could do it first thing Saturday and would only take 45 minutes to complete. I returned to him to find my phone as good as new and guess what I didn't need that flex cable fixing he said there was nothing wrong with it !!! Best £80 I've spent fast and reliable service with a 12 month warranty what else could you ask for

Contacted Barry about replacing loud speaker in my galaxy s6. Got a quick response offering to do the work the next day. Phone was dropped off and repaired after an hour or so. Phone now works perfectly again. Was told I could bring phone back if I wasn't satisfied but I definitely am! Highly recommend 👍
