We have packed up and left Christmas Steps.
Thanks to all that have supported Christmas Steps Gallery over the last 5 years. To all the audiences that have visited and all the artists that have shared their work with us over the years - it could be truer to say we would have been nothing without you.
We are ceasing trading a Christmas Steps for a number of reasons, none of them particularly dramatic. Our landlords wanted to increase our rent but would not tell us by how muc...h so left it hanging over us for five months, and on balance I’m not sure that an in accessible venue down steps is the right place for us to be long term given that many of the projects we host should be and want to be accessible to all.
Have loved being part of Christmas Steps community over this time and as always excited for that vibrant area’s future.
Hatching new plans that will replace and surpass the work we have done with this project so watch this space.

My co-exhibitor @robertantellpastelartist has had to undergo emergency open heart surgery last week. Luckily he's recovering well and still keen for the show to go on. I've been working with @mockingbird_press to ensure the exhibition continues but this has meant set up is slightly delayed. We'll be open tomorrow from 12 but we still might be setting up some paintings!
