User

coming to the end of our lovely stay, pitch 4 with lovely views of the river, quiet well kept site, shower block clean and nice hot showers, staff friendly and gave us plenty of information bout things to do and visit, the Friday night fish and chip van was a bonus delicious!! and within easy reach to Paignton torquay and brixham. well worth visiting this site, we will come here again for sure.

User

We're still on site here and i cannot stress enough that this site and its owners are great. Friendly, had a joke with us and really down to earth. The views are gorgeous and it's in a great spot for visiting nearby, brixham, torquay, dartmouth and paignton. The facilities are fine for what we needed, a toilet and shower is all you need, both of which are kept in great condition.

The grounds are well maintained and for the less experienced touring family, they are happy to help you get pitched up if you run into issues.

We also joined english heritage whilst here and visited dartmouth castle, berry pomeroy and totnes castle. Had a great time.

We'll be back in august but with our tent this time as we'll be in our 30 year old Austin Maestro.

Please do visit the site and soak in this part of the world has to offer.

Many thanks for a great stay, Mr and Mrs McRoy.

We were with friends in their camper van on pitch 100 from 10/6 to 18/6 and I must say what a great view. Big up to the chaps we saw everyday maintaining the campsite and facilities very friendly and always good for a laugh. Campsite is well looked after very clean and tidy. Will definitely return someday. There is a great pub in the village called The Manor there Fish and Chips are excellent and good selection of ales and staff very friendly. All in all a great holiday Thank you.

We chose Galmpton as a quiet week away to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We had a fantastic pitch, 50, with spectacular uninterupted views over the Dart. The site staff, as usual, were just great. Nothing is ever too much, always there with a smile and a word. The Fish n Chip van on Friday served beautiful food and the new Pizza van on the Saturday was a great success, small menu but excelently cooked. I have recomended this site to all my friends whether they have tents or caravans.

User

Very clean...friendly site...welcome dogs.

...good showers and toilets..laundry....plenty of water taps and disposal points...a view to die for and a great local pub...the Manor Inn. Sitting looking at the River Dart is so calming. Good local transport into Brixham/Dartmouth/ Paignton/Totnes and Torquay... a the steam railway is less than half a mile away and you can hear the trains tooting from the site...Agatha Christies home is down the lane and you can catch the ferry to Dartmouth too...great week spent here...will be coming back again ...all in all wonderful

User

This is a lovely site and owned by lovely people, everyone that works there are so helpful, we are going again this year ........ There were exceptional high winds forecast and while we were out the staff knocked our windbreaks and pegs in to make sure we were safe .... You don't get that service on other sites. My dad was also unwell during our stay and the staff again were most helpful and would ask us daily hue he was....I would definitely recommend to couples, families anyone really and DOG FRIENDLY thank you everyone galmpton see you in August

User

Thank you so much for an excellent stay at Galmpton, our first visit to Devon. The staff were all lovely, cheery and helpful. An excellently run touring park with spectacular views - really going to miss the view over the River Dart first thing in the morning!

Galmpton is an excellent central base to tour South Devon.

User

Such a fabulous site with an amazing view of the River dart and so many things to see around here. We would love to return one day

User

Staff are fantastic. always on hand to help. Very clean and friendly site. Shower block is cleaned a few times daily which is lovely. Could do with hair driers in the ladies but only small detail. have been here 4 years running and already booked for next year. Just a shame owners can't pick after their dogs in the on site dog walking area.

User

Our 3rd year in a row. 3 different pitches, all were perfect with fantastic views. Daughter loves it as she is always in the park when we are on site and makes wonderful friends. Our doggie is with us this year, and she loves it too. Will be booking again for next year. PERFECT.... thank you Galmpton. Xx

User

I'm still there right now. The two members of Staff the Guy , dont know his name Gerald the lady are so lovely. Very friendly, the chap I got to see more when we arrived he's wonderful smiling all the time and very helpful. The views are wonderful , the facilities very my wife is always fussy about toilets and showers, she was so pleased. Well done guys keep it up. This was my first ever camping, you guys made me want to do more of this!!

User

Everything from the very friendly staff to the cleanliness of the facilities was faultless.

The view was absolutely amazing.

Can't wait to return in the summer.

User

Another great holiday at Galmpton touring park thanks to all who work there. Again you all make the holiday. Keep up the good work see you again soon.

User

Nice site, peaceful, well kept and rubbish free. Secuity is good and staff on the site make you very welcome , only certain pitches have a view of the river and valley as trees are now growing taller, we have been going there for several years and we have found it to be a bit pricey now as others sites in the nearby area are the same price but they offer a pool, clubhouse and better stocked shop.

User

Lovely views, clean well kept shower block. Unfortunately the site wasn’t ideal for myself who suffers with osteoarthritis as there is quite a climb to the shower block. There seems to be a problem with people failing to clear up their dog mess on this site both on the grass area and in the dog walk area. This definitely needs addressing by the staff. We have stayed on many sites over the last few years and this is the only one where I have come across this filthy issue.

User

Beautiful site. Lovely staff. Only problems we had was location but only because we both had temporary mobility problems. We're in a motor home with awning so chose site for close facilities. The 5 minute walk to the pub and village might be possible on the flat for an athlete. Cyclists needed to be 'Tour de France' ready. The mile or so up and down hill to the nearest bus stop/steam train station was a challenge! When we phoned for a cab to get us just the mile from Churston to the site we were told minimum £15 from one company and 'we don't have a clue where you are' from another company even though we got their number from a huge sign in the road when we got off the train! Best for the very fit or caravanners with cars xx
