Steak night was fantastic and amazing value- steaks cooked perfectly! Second really great meal here, service is really good and staff always so friendly and of course the cocktails are amazing!

My daughter booked a table for 6 tonight for 5pm I have just arrived home and thought I would give this quirky restaurant a review. On entering Lauren greeted us straight away with a smile and a lovely welcome. She got our drinks and asked if we would like to sit down and wait for the rest of the party to arrive. We then were escorted to our table asking if this was acceptable. We agreed it was in a quiet alcove and we all sat down to look at the menu. The food arrived very quickly after ordering it was hot and there was loads on the plates. I had Cajun blackened salmon on a bed of rice,peas and pineapple it was absolutely amazing and very tasty. Lauren came back on a few occasions to ask if everything was ok, which it was. I would like to give 10/10 to the chef and 10/10 to Lauren . I will defiantly recommend Gambas to everyone who wants something different and very quirky with a great ambience and delicious food, well done Gambas Staff.

Maybe waited a little too long for food, but once arrived , good service tasty food, and fair prices. Worth a visit. ’┐Į

I had always heard good things about Gambas but had never been myself. I booked a table for the 8 of us on a Wednesday evening last year. We arrived and purchased drinks at the bar before being shown to our table. The staff were great and kept the ladies topped up with various cocktails which they all enjoyed. We all had a starter and a main course at least. At the time I was on trying to lose weight but found the menu had a lot of options including things I could eat that wouldnŌĆÖt mean me feeling guilty! The food was all served and presented well on the plates/serving materials. IŌĆÖd definitely go back and have seen they present evenings with music from various artists which I imagine would be good in that environment. Well done Gambas!

Had a lovely meal tonight, Steak was cooked perfectly and nothing was too much trouble. Staff were fantastic especially Lauren who looked after us really well tonight and on a previous occasion.

Had a fantastic meal , cooked to perfection by Liam the new chef , front of house was served superbly by Harley ’┐Į

Great place had the vip table and the food was absolutely delicious! One of our groups steak wasnŌĆÖt cooked enough and they took it back and replaced it really quickly and were very helpful. Cocktails were amazing and all in all had a great night a really lovely little place to eat and we will all be back :)

We had the Gin Tray (I won this in a fb competition ran by Gambas, so normal people do win these so always give it a go) and it was delicious different tastes which I wouldnŌĆÖt have tried before as IŌĆÖm a vodka girl, cocktails to die for,

Sorry girls but I will definitely be coming back ’┐Į

Cannot fault this place. We come every time we visit our caravan in hopton. I can be very fussy but the staff are so friendly and never mind if I ask for changes to food or drinks. The cocktails are amazing and I just cannot recommend enough. Xx

Came for my 18th birthday tonight and it was brilliant! All the girls were very friendly and helpful making sure all the orders where correct and the food was delicious! Would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back. Thankyou xx

Absolutely loved our meal this evening.... my other half won 2 meals and 2 pints....we took the children along too. Lovely food, lovely staff and nice atmosphere..... Lauren the Manageress was most helpful...... we will be back..... thank you ’┐Į

Went in on a hot Sunday for drinks. Really nice cocktails. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will back for food next time.xx

Very poor. Run a competition to have a meal and watch footy then sit in the restaurant with 4 tv's and no sound. The guys on the next table had Radio 5 live on their phone. Decide to come home and watch it and get presented a bill for ┬Ż45. When Simon says that's the wrong bill the woman behind the bar then gets snotty and tells him to calm down. Won't be back free or not!

We booked a table for a family meal where upon taking our order we were told that there would be a 45 minute wait for food as there were 2 large tables booked for the same time. We actually waited over 70 minutes for it to eventually be served (just 3 burgers and a chicken kebab). my husbands burger was missing the cheese and there was some stuff off the menu too which was disappointing. My first time visiting and i wonŌĆÖt bother going back.

Appreciate winning a meal BUT I thought you were having football on? How can you have TV on with no sound and music instead? Also, didnŌĆÖt appreciate the way your staff spoke to me over the bill so very unlikely I will be back!

Last two experiences have been disappointing, attempted to go last Thursday and had a waitress nearly hit me with her car as she hurriedly arrived to open the restaurant later than the stated opening time, was told to come back in half an hour. Won a burger and beer meal for yesterday and food hadn't arrived after nearly 1hr 45 mins, had to sack it off. Not sure what's happened as had a great experience in the winter but based on my last two visits the organisation has gone to pot.
