SCSS - started to offer non sporting activities into primary schools, for times when poor weather restricted them from outside activities. This originally taught children basics of literacy and numeracy through the mode of sport. Simon Carson, founder, slowly developed these lessons into the embryo of GOAL. Eventually encouraged by enthusiastic feedback from pupils, teachers and heads of schools SCSS offered GOAL as a stand-alone course. After 4 years working in over 100 Schools in Teesside and North Yorkshire we are now moving forward (again with encouragement from teachers, parents, pupils and especially school heads) to the hopeful roll out to primary schools nationally. Future Possible Development: Whilst GOAL is currently aimed at year 5 and 6 pupils we plan to both up scale and downscale in order to differentiate age groups. We intend to adapt the course for up to 6th form college and potentially university students. Lots of other long-term possibilities are envisaged with numerous possible board games / PC - interactive media games and add-on products.
