went yesterday 12th september with me other half and 2 boys. service was fantastic. the girls was very helpful. the food was the best ive ever tried. beaut. the the strawberry woo woo cocktails where spot on. and to top it off when i got the bill i was shocked because i thought it would be more then i thought, will deffo be going back. overall FANTASTIC

Would like to say a big thank you for donating raffle prizes to help raise funds for our care home . Staff are always friendly and great atmosphere .

We came last night and we had a really tasty meal and loved the cocktails . Staff were lovely . We will be back �

This is the best restaurant iv ever been to in hull before. The food was amazing and the place was so nice and welcoming. The staff were great very polite. Would recommend to any one.

Thank you to Mel and the staff at Garbo's for making us so welcome. Thank you for reserving an area for all 50+ of us so I was able to distribute the tshirts for the Hull 10k we had all entered. We had a great evening :)

Popped in for tea before event at City Hall, had fish and chips and it was lovely. Came with mushy peas and bread and butter. Not many people in at that time but was playing great music. Would definitely go back

Planned a hen party here on Friday night. Food was excellent service was great and we all had a great night. Special thanks to Melissa who organised the night for us and Matt for the great cocktail class.

I held my mums 50th birthday meal and cocktail master class here on 21/04/18 and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! From day one of planning it, Melissa was brilliant and made the whole night run so smoothly and perfectly, the food was amazing especially the fish and chips which Most of the party had, then the cocktail class, well, what can I say it was absolutely brilliant, Matt who was our barman was brilliant we all had such a good laugh making up our own cocktails and the sparkler prosecco was a lovely touch, thankyou so much all of the team at garbos!! One of the best nights out I've had in hull! Xxxxx

Excellent customer service the staff made a birthday celebration special. Nice food.

Cocktail night with work colleagues. Lovely cocktails very nicely presented and the prices were right. Had a little boogie to the music (we are all 50 plus) so the music was a bit above us lol but generally a great night . Lovely staff very friendly apart from one young girl bringing over the cocktails we had ordered and randomly handing them to anyone saying here is another one for you all to try. We don't know what that was all about �

We went on Saturday afternoon 24th Feb this year. Yesterday in fact. It was my daughter's 46th birthday get together. I ordered the cheese and bacon burger, as did my missus, and we thought the meal was spot on. Others ordered different stuff but it all looked pretty nice and I could willingly have eaten everybody else's if I'd ordered it. Service was good and all the meals, 12 of them, all arrived at the same time, within 5 minutes anyway, and I think that that is important. Very important, in fact.

My son reckoned the food was average whereas I rated it higher. All the plates seemed to get cleared so nobody was grumbling.

One negative. It was cold outside last Saturday and, to be honest, it was cold inside Garbo's too. Perhaps ask the customers if they are comfortable at some point during either their wait or the meal itself.

So there we are. We enjoyed it. Certainly worth another visit.

Not knowing Hull at all and where is good to eat, we picked Garbos and we were pleasantly surprised! The greeting was friendly and the service was quick. The food was lovely. An investment in a tray would help the staff to deliver the food all at the same time to prevent food going cold while waiting for the sides to be delivered. Would be happy to visit again.

Bookeda 30th birthday meal here on Saturday 15th. Booking was simple and Melissa was very helpful throughout. Most meals were OK however a few people didn't enjoy their meals, me included and have to say I was a bit disappointed after hearing really good things about the food here, however there were over 30 of us so it may be that they struggle slightly with large parties. The young lad who served us was lovely and very helpful and happy. I have to say there was one particular waitress who I felt thought we were too much like hard work and her customer service was shocking, but that aside we had a lovely time and the rest of the staff were brilliant!

Average food, good wine, rather garish decor. Reasonable service though when you have waiting staff, why do you have to get up to order food at the bar, plus the barman seemed totally disinterested. Maybe just shy but doesn't come across well. An OK and reliable place for lunch but I wouldn't seek it out.

having come here on new years day before the fireworks and the food was lovely my friend and i paid a visit on thursday for tea, we were the only ones in, the food was no were near the quality of new years day, we ordered fish and chips as my daughter had previously ordered this and it looked lovely, our starter arrived it was supposed to be creamed mushrooms on toast, it was few mushrooms in a pot and bit of ciabatta on the side, mushrooms were tasty though, but when our fish and chips arrived im sorry but it was appalling, very over cooked, the chips were very brown overcooked and dry, i work with food and they tasted if they had been refried from the day before, the fish, well there wasnt much fish is was mostly burnt batter, the waitress came and asked if everything was ok as soon as the meal arrived before we had chance to really taste it, but when she collected the plates i did tell her it was really disappointing, she just said why didnt i tell her when she asked if it was ok, but we hadnt had chance to really eat it, she was apologetic but apart from that knowing how disappointed we were no one else came to see us to apologise, not a good experience this time Garbos

Was having lunch yesterday we have been many times and the food has always been great but not now the new menu has been introduced its gone up in price but the quality has unfortunately gone down not good so I'm afraid we won't be going back

We visited this evening booked a table to celebrate my birthday , after one hour we requested drinks and was about to order desserts .we was refused and told due to the pub being quiet it was closing. We were all very disappointed we had planned this night .so disrespectful and rude turning us away .our night was spoilt obviously don't care about paying customers .we won't be returning again !!!

Came in tonight for food and few drinks. Half way through mains we needed more drinks so popped to the bar instead of bothering the waitress to come over. Get to the bar to find out we can't have anymore drinks! It was only 7.40pm. The owner has called them to close up because it's quiet. Il admit it was quiet, only 2 of us plus another table of 3 still eating. I find it disgusting that we can't even order more drinks even when we're still eating! Felt very rushed after this point so payed the bill and left. We was enjoying the food but I don't think we will return. I wouldn't even open if your just going to close the place when people are eating.

Absolute disgrace 30 meals and it was disgusting sent food back because it was raw then waited an hour for it to return still raw 2 hours later we was told we could not have food because it was sent back. I will never ever frequent this place again. The blonde member of staff needs sacking she is useless. Please avoid
