Prestwood born Mark Cunnane has a passion for carpentry. Having worked for 23 years as a carpenter he has now embarked on a new venture – Shepherd’s Huts.
His fondness for restoring dilapidated unloved shepherd’s huts to their former glory has now evolved into a business supplying custom designed new build huts tailored to the customer’s exact requirements.
Mark created Garden Living in 2017 to offer others an opportunity to ‘design their own’ contemporary garden lodge.
Originally designed as a mobile shelter, shepherd huts were once a crucial part of the agricultural landscape, constructed to provide shepherds with shelter. They are now experiencing a resurgence in popularity as versatile living spaces.
The exterior is based on the traditional characteristics of a shepherd’s hut and every interior is custom-built to meet your requirements. Every hut is built to order so whether you’re searching for a modern home office, guest bedroom, artist’s studio, writers’ retreat, summer house or a private haven for your backyard, Mark will work with you to build your dream outdoor space.
Your bespoke hut will be delivered in sections to allow for access to any area ready for construction by a trusted City & Guilds tradesman. Construction on-site takes up to eight days.
