Gary and Jane formed Tech-Wood designs in 2003 Gary is the 5th generation in a family of craftsmen with a passion for guns that has lasted since he started to shoot with his grandfather when he was 5 years old then going on to develop his interest and skills with firearms and shooting in the British Army. In more recent years He has had a keen interest in FT Shooting, being one of the founder members of the BFTA.

Over the last 25 years Gary has built a reputation as one of the worlds finest Stock Makers and Designers from the design of standard stocks for manufactures to the creation of fine individual hunting and target stocks for Center-Fire, Rim-Fire, and Air Rifles.

Our stocks are made in our well equipped workshops in beautiful rural surroundings of the Nar Valley in central Norfolk on the East Coast of the UK.
Our equipment includes:
2. Single head Stock Duplicators,
1. Eight Head Stock Duplicator,
a thickness planer a surface planer, a bandsaw various hand routers pillar drills and hand tools
1. Turret Lathe.
1. Colchester Bantam Lathe with DRO,
1. DSG 13-30 Lathe with DRO,
2. Bridgeport turret mills,
1. Eurospark Spark Eroder.
1. Haas CNC mill.

We have a dedicated spray booth for lacquered finishes and 2000 sq ft of workshop space.
We are registered firearms dealers and have our own 100m range for testing and welcome our customers to test and try their new rifle . We carry large stocks of blanks in American Black walnut, Turkish walnut, New Zealand walnut and one of the largest stocks of coloured laminated Birch blanks outside the US

While we are well known for our designs on air rifles from the worlds leading manufacturers
Gary’s passion still is building the highest quality complete custom rifles and stocks for the discerning individual. To this end we have built up a customer base the world over.

We are though never content to sit back but strive to continue to push the boundaries within our field.

We now also manufacture our own range of stock accessories in house.
