Local businesses that are going through stressful times in the year can reward staff for their efforts by organising treatments to help with a there occupational health matters.

GOT A TIGHT NECK!!
This is why you can get a tight painful neck when you sit like this on your phone!! Sort your posture out...

Great to see Scott Webb today with all his Commonwealth Powerlifting Medals in tow.. The rebuild began today for the next major comps.

Did you know that in medieval times a rounded, flexed posture was a sign of weakness or injury.
Sadly it's the same in 2017, however the weakness is the posterior chain (which keeps you upright) & the injury is the neck & back pain.
This is life now, just be mindful if you start doing this to yourself.
... Remember the body always adapts to the environment you expose it to.

0653, Friday morning & hundreds of commuters are sat down already on the train in all sorts of positions.
Many will spend 80% of their day sat down on their arses, hunched over their phones & laptops evolving their bodies with technology.
The evidence suggest that sedentary lifestyles lead to an increase in premature mortality rate.
... Many of these people are unlikely to exercise & certainly don't look like they intend to.
I often wonder what the human race will look like in say 1000 years when the effects really start to show.
A simple solution is to lift your phone to eye level instead of taking the easy option looking down & destroying your neck. Yes your arms get tired, deal with it.
Try standing up & stretching key muscle groups whilst on the train (hamstrings, quads, Hip flexors). You may draw attention but that will be from the seasoned ass dwellers who don't know what they are doing or can't be bothered (even though they have been in bed for 6 hours)
A few facts Ō£ģ
1- 30 degrees of text head is equivalent load to hanging a 7 year old child of your cervical spine.
2- Sitting for more than 8 hours can be offset with 1hr of moderately intense exercise (how many are really going to do that though?)
3- Sitting through inactivity for prolonged periods contributes to aproximately 6% of global deaths.

Had a great massage this afternoon from Gary, I have had my various back issues looked after by Gary for the last 10 years, if not longer - would highly recommend him. My shoulders are now in great nick because of him, and my lower back is now pain free after weeks of niggling pain due to an ongoing condition.
