Lovely pub really good ales and very friendly staff this was my third visit due to gigs at the pump house studio.

Lovely old fashioned pub quality ale wine Lager Dogs very welcome

Great little pub off the beaten track.
Great selection of ales.
The honey porter was particularly good.

Very much off the beaten track but worth a visit. Unfussy and plain, with wooden tables and benches, and a in winter a woodburner at one end. It serves excellent beer which they make in their microbrewery above the bar. Dogs are allowed/welcomed, so be prepared to trip over a big pile of fur lolling in the middle of the path between tables as you juggle drinks. As the name suggests it's lit by gas lamp, which gives it an extra atmosphere.

Nice, friendly, small pub that brews it's own beer. Their mild is particularly nice. Dog's are welcome.
