The Gateback stud is situated in a small village called gatebeck near kendal in cumbria.
It is owned and run by Mrs Sonia Kirkwood and her family, they have been breeding shetlands under this name for over 35 years and continue to thrive.
The Old Hutton Stud, is situated in a small village call Old Hutton just a few miles on from Gatebeck.
The stud is now owned and run by Mrs Kirkwood.
