Staff were amazing and friendly. Being on the 2nd floor was pretty steep climbing but... Rooms were immaculate. No issues whatsoever. Everything seemed so homely. The restaurant downstairs had some amazing food. Could have stayed the whole day there. Views in the morning were spectacular. Loved the brief trip would definitely go back!!

Location and service was great. Food was delicious. Only qualm was my burger had barely any cheese in at all. But even so was still tasty. Apart from that it was a nice cosy little place with friendly staff. Would recommend.

The food is really, really good here, top service and the over all feel of the restaurant is warm and welcoming. I had fish and chips which was perfectly done, the fish was smaller than you expect from most pubs but I actually felt it was about the right size, as I still had room for pudding. My wife's burger was massive, and apparently delicious. The kids chicken nuggets and chips was a pleasant surprise being that it was home made and even seasoned with rosemary I think which is a welcome change to the frozen chicken you get at most pubs. I was going to take a picture of the sticky toffee pudding but it looked good and I forgot to take a picture, it was very good though. In regards to the service we came at a quiet time and the staff were bending over backwards to make sure we were happy. There is WIFI here, convenient parking and a nice terrace where you can sit outside and eat in the summer.

Me and my Husband were attending a wedding in Windermere and chose to stay here overnight. The staff were extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The room was incredibly clean and tidy. I didn't stay for breakfast as I wasn't hungry. The restaurant looked really clean and nice, and the toilets were very pleasant. I would highly recommend

Stumbled across the Gateway Inn while looking for somewhere to eat in very busy Kendal. Very welcoming, lovely setting and seating for our meal. Food was very good, all at our table only had good things to say. Price was reasonable, children's 2 course meal was £5.50.Parking available. Good selection of drinks including real ale. Overall a great experience, will visit again when in the area.

Quick drink at bar but only one of the cask ales on offer. Staff were nice and friendly but only reason we stopped was for a cask ale.
