Happy Weekend Everyone

Today I completed an Eyelash Extension course with Claire Marshall. This was my first course with gateway workshops and I had a lovely time. Claire is a fantastic tutor and really knows her stuff. She understands that most people are complete beginners, and made sure to keep asking us if we had any questions and that no question was too silly to ask. Claire explained and demonstrated everything very clearly and was right beside us if we needed some help.

The course was in detail and we each came away with a nice course manual and certificate. It was nice to hear that after the course is completed, you are still able to contact your tutor at any time should you have any questions or need any help with progression. This eyelash course at gateway workshop sets itself apart from most I looked at booking before booking here because you are not tied down to using any specific brands once you have finished the course, you are able to use anything. Claire was informative on where to buy stuff and what things to get. She even knew what each of us as individuals should roughly charge due to the area we live in. The courses only have 6 people to a course which was really good because you work in pairs and get full attention from the tutor. The other girls in the class I was in seemed to enjoy it as much as I did.

The location (Ware, Hertfordshire) was a nice little venue with easy parking right outside.

I hope to come back to Gateway Workshops to complete some more courses and I highly recommend the company and Claire Marshall as a tutor!

I've Recently done a natural acupressure face lift course with Kate Watson and thought it was brilliant. Kate is a competent tutor who has a good teaching style which is calm and methodical. She explained everything thoroughly and made it fun. I would definitely recommend Gateway and Kate.

I went on the meditation teaching course today and loved it. The tutor Maxine was so welcoming, knowledgeable and really good at helping even the quietest of students. It was a lovely small group which was a really enjoyable experience. The venue was easy to find and a beautiful space. Would definitely recommend Gateway to people.

I have attended several courses at the Somerset venue and can highly recommend Gateway. I find the booking system very good and generaly it is quite easy to find a course and date to suit me. The small (and usually lovely)groups ensure you get a lot of attention during the training.

The locations are usually nice and located near places where I can also get a nice coffee on the break. : ) I recommend Gateway training and can not wait to attend my next training with Jan.

I have attended 3 Gateway courses with Jan Wolsey and can say with all sincerity that she is an awesome teacher! Charismatic and personable, she captured my attention effortlessly. Her knowledge and experience were evident in the ease with which she delivered the courses, bringing the course manuals to life with clever elaborations, hints and tips. If any nerves surfaced they were swiftly calmed by Jan’s natural warmth, compassion and humour. By the end of each day, I really felt I had a thorough grasp of the course content and felt confident in applying my new learning.

If there were any doubt as to the credibility of Gateway workshops as a first timer, they were quickly dispelled by Jan’s knowledge and professionalism. I have since done 2 further courses with Jan (and 1 with Sanet Holder, who is also wonderful and can expect a review from me too!) and once I have fully digested these I will be back for more! Jan and Sanet are a credit to Gateway workshops and all come highly recommended.

I booked this course with little experience of massage and was a little unsure how I would get on. My tutor Esther is a warm, friendly and knowledgable person that guided me when needed in such a way that increased my confidence. I came away happy to have learnt a new skill. These courses are an excellent way to try something new - go for it !

I attended the one day Indian head and neck massage course with Kate Watson. The course material provided was extensive and while there would not have been time to go in to all this detail on the one day course, the material was made available to us to take away. The break down of action by action and plenty of time to practise, be observed and gain feedback on eachother and with Kate was helpful. The feedback given was detailed enough to guide us in further practice. The end of day assessment was done with plenty of time to spare so that last minute observations and guidance could be provided. Kate the Tutor was great - really enthusiastic, knowledgeable and easy going. The atmosphere was very relaxed and I really enjoyed the day. Well done.

I attended the Natural Facelift Massage course earlier in the year and i cannot praise it enough. It was such a comprehensive course and answered so many questions I had about how this actually works. My tutor was Sanet Holder and she was fabulous. She was so kind and entertaining and really displayed her wealth of knowledge in such an engaging and easy to follow way. The course was small (6 people) and this was exactly how I think it should be so the tutor can give so much attention to the individual which is exactly what happened with all of us. She was very patient and I personally giggled my way through her class (she is very funny ;))but also absorbed so much information in such a short space of time. The course manual we are given is invaluable and is easy to follow and very well constructed as it gives so much information, not only about the treatment itself but marketing tips, health and safety, basically everything you need whether you are already a therapist (like myself) or totally new to all of this. I Highly recommend this course as a fantastic add in to your therapies or just a fun and effective skill to learn. You won't be disappointed!!!

I attended the Deep tissue massage course with Esther Manning, the day was very informative and enjoyable... I went to work two days later and my first massage was on a male client and it was for Deep tissue massage....on back of legs and back. I was obviously nervous because I had only learnt it two days before but the man gave me £10 tip! So that’s filled me with a lot of confidence!

I have incorporated a few deep tissue techniques into my other massages routines too ....like Esther said we would (can’t resist sometimes) � and people are saying I am giving them the best massages they’ve ever had! So I just wanted to say thank you so much Esther because my confidence in massage has soared!

Gateway have always been more than fair with me and I’ve been on loads of their courses they are caring and flexible. I have done several with them I think their customer service is brilliant that’s why I always feel safe booking with them and their booking policy is really fair. I’ve booked with other training schools in the past who never give refunds or swap dates if the weather is really bad and I’ve missed a course don’t even offer another date! However Gateway Do!! I’ve always found Gateway great as recently offered me an alternative option when we had that heavy snow which was really appreciated. Their tutors are lovely too as well as head office I’ve been training with them for years and I’ve recommended many of my therapists friends who also have never had any issues with them I say keep up the good work and don’t let the haters get you down. I wouldn't train with any other company as the tutors are all so brilliant and the level of knowledge is second to none and the after care is amazing, nothing is too much trouble.
