Dear All, I’m sure you are aware of the plans for Gatton Manor and the dramatic improvements that have taken place since we took over 6 months ago. We are also planning a major refurbishment and additions to the facilities. You may also know that it is our intention to close membership at the end of this month – all those who are paid-up members at that time will automatically be offered renewal in March 2019, following which applications for new joiners will be considered. ... However, it’s been brought to our attention, that a number of ex-members (and others) who would have re-joined but, due to the uncertainty over the club’s future last year, have joined other clubs in the meantime. We fully understand that there are many who would like to join, were it not for the obvious financial implications of paying for 2 memberships at the same time. In the interests of fairness and the club as a whole, we are now pleased to announce that anybody applying for membership before the end of July and paying a £250 deposit, will become a full member from 1st September and, in the interim, benefit from Member’s rates for green fees, buggy hire etc. A further £250 will be payable before the 1stSeptember. We have already signed up a number of new members on this basis. In order to help with your decision, we’d be delighted to see you at Gatton where you can discuss our plans, meet our Club Head Professional (David Fluke) and have a round of golf on us to remind you what a great course Gatton is. For a short period only, David is offering guests and members alike, an hour’s complimentary lesson on any part of the game they would like to focus on. Sorry it has all been a bit quiet on the facebook front, but the team have been busy behind the scenes making plans for the long term future of Gatton Manor.
We have already started to make much-needed improvements to the existing course and facilities and are delighted to say that the course is in great shape and receiving excellent reviews. Thanks to all the golfers who have supported us so far and we look forward to seeing many more of you over the summer months.
Over the... coming years, it is our intention to embark on a substantial multi-million pound development project to create one of Surrey’s leading golf and country club facilities (subject to approvals).

Today we are thrilled to announce that South Coast Business Golf and Golf Coaching is relocating to Gatton Manor and that owner David Fluke will be taking up the position of Head Teaching Professional and Corporate Golf Events Manager at the club.
David will be offering a full teaching programme to members and guests, as well as establishing a junior academy for younger plays. In addition, David brings with him a wealth of experience in organising and hosting corporate golf events and will be working with local and national companies to promote Gatton Manor as their venue of choice.

A big Thank you to everyone from the new owners of Gatton Manor Golf and Country Club After everyone thought they would never Tee off again at this fantastic and challenging Golf course, over 70 golfers were rewarded with a truly memorable day yesterday. The day started with Coffee and Bacon rolls, and was helped by the sun coming out on occasions. After the round it was back to the bar where the log fire was raging and a display of delicious Sandwiches were obviously enj...oyed, as there were none left. As Rob Weston said yesterday, We want to say a really big thank you to all that took part and hoped you enjoyed the day, as much as we did. The support from Past members and the amount of new members Joining is truly amazing and , we are committed in making Gatton a truly magnificent venue. In the bar afterwards Les Edgar gave a brief outline of what to expect going forward, which was rewarded with a round of applause. Great News - Gatton Manor Hotel and Golf Club is now re-open!
Following it's temporary closure in the Autumn, Gatton Manor is now under new ownership and we are pleased to announce the course is fine shape and we are gearing up for the forthcoming golf season.
2018 memberships at the club are now available from as little as £749.00 per person* and we look forward to welcoming back all our members, green fee guests and society players.
... The hotel is scheduled to re-open in March and we are now taking enquiries for weddings and events.

please please please ignore the negative reviews , yes the manor was left to go wild but is back to its best!! Played today and the course is in superb shape, greens have some discolouration but run true and fast, tees great and you can see that more are being prepared, fairways great and some gentle rough if your wayward. very welcomg staff , and new owner, who took the time to explain what had happened, what has been done and what is still to do.

We had our wedding here and it was the most amazing perfect day. Everything was well planned organised and went smoothly. Staff are so kind and Made our day so special .

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here and can't thank Sally and the staff enough for the help and hospitality we received. We instantly felt it was the venue for us when we first went to view it as a possible wedding venue. We particularly liked the Victorian gardens and the setting. It gave us the chance for the intimate wedding we wanted.

I'm so sad to see that it is closing and truly hope we will be able to visit when it's future is finally decided.

The golf course is amazing, I thoroughly enjoy it... a proper and well established course... The hotel is perfect as it is and it is an affordable nice place to go, I have enjoyed a good few company corporate day/evenings there too... I heard there is planning going in to change the hotel to a super hotel and abolish the course which would be a real shame... feel sorry for the members and us who'll only ever be able to look back at memories and the new hotel from the distance, especially due to the planned cost 😢

The golf course is amazing challenging in excellent condition and beautifully laid out on the down side food was poor service was inattentive and rooms were clean but basic and unwelcominig .

The breakfast was fantastic whilst sat in the sunshine by the lake watching the golfers out on the course.

Spent the week-end at Gatton Manor it was brilliant. The course was great. The staff very friendly and helpful. The food was great. Highly recommend it. Thank you to all the staff..

Great place. A hidden gem. Course is a challenge and in great condition. Greens brilliant. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Food excellent. Buildings are tired although there is a planned update due in the Autumn.

Can't comment on the Golf Course, but we had our Wedding Reception here 2 weeks ago & it was all perfect. Manor House Hotel room over looking Golf Course was so nice with a roll top bath! Staff were all amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The food was to die for (as always!!)

Such a shame it's being redeveloped but we will return I'm sure.

The course was good, really needed a course planner. staff where very helpful breakfast excellent, the hotel could do with being refurbished and room 16 smells of damp and has a broken toilet seat. Love to play the course again In the summer but not to stay.

Really good complex. Course was incredible. Tough for an amateur but a great challenge, would be good to get some graphics on the scorecard for the hole layout to give newcomers a better idea of how to play the course......?? Would love to come back. Only negative I had was 2 out of the 3 bar staff on the sat night were very miserable and not welcoming. But a small point to what was a great weekend! Thanks

Really enjoyed the golf as the course in great condition and a challenge for all abilities. Food was very good but some of the facilities a little dated.

Just spent two days there on a fantastically priced deal. The course is lovely and the greens are fast and near impossible slopes to read in places. Course is in very good condition, despite rumours of lack of care due to forthcoming redevelopment. The only downside was the service. Some bar staff were very miserable and breakfast was painfully slow.

It is evident that the member's have gone. This due to the owners now having the course up for sale. There was work going on around the course but none on the fairways. The second cut could do with a trim. The greens were lightning quick, and the one bunker I went in had plenty of sand. All in all a challenging course for all types of golfers. Plenty to catch the big hitters out. I will come back next year hopefully things will be more settled with a new owner. All staff were extremely polite.

I'd only give Gatton Manor Hotel, 3 stars. The rooms are clean but basic. Breakfast is good and staff attentive. No fans in rooms for hot weather. Leave windows open and you get aircraft noise for Gatwick. Rumour is a Russian has bought the whole site for his private use so check when booking that it is still a hotel. Don't play golf so can't comment on the course.

Great course, but had to walk in after 10, as did the 4 ball in front. Both having paid for green fees. Due to pace of play. Shame as great course up to 10th.
