Gatwick Caravan And Motorhome Club Site

We came by at 6pm and they were closed. This is an extremely early time to close. Additionally there was no option to self check in. We had to book a hotel due to missing the 6pm check-in by 10 minutes.

Lovely site great staff just like planes and you will be ok

By far the worst campsite we've ever stayed at. Unless you are an avid plane spotter, or profoundly deaf, stay away from this site. Aircraft movements every 60 seconds from 5am till nearly midnight doesn't make for an enjoyable time. Caravan club should put a clear warning on their website.

Immaculately kept shower block, polished and glazed to perfection. Grass
kept strictly to C&MC regulation length, and pitch gravel raked in a north-westerly direction as per the guidance manual. Where can you go to get better than this?

Small be excellent site. Aircraft noise will not be to everyones taste but thats the onlt issue some may have with this very nice site.

Its only 1 star rating for 2 reasons, the extreme plane noise, and Sue at reception is extremely rude (as has been mentioned in other reviews). Other staff there were excellent, and the showers, etc were good.
Plane take offs start at 5.15 a.m. and occur every 90 seconds or so until 11.00 p.m. It made the windows rattle in our campervan and you cannot have a conversation. There's no getting used to it. Over time the plane exhausts leave a type of oily soot on caravans stored there.

The site was nice but unfortunately we had to deal with one of the ladies at reception that we found very rude and grumpy never had an experience like that at any campsite before I would rather pay more and stay elsewhere than deal with her again. Please note the other staff were very friendly especially the older lady in reception. Unfortunately I won't be staying there again due to the experience.

Too noisy

Great place for peace and quiet even with the planes taking off and landing next door. After a while you do not notice them. Very friendly staff, very clean and tidy. I have not tried it but told the pub next to the entrance to site is excellent
