Gaucho Description

Spectacular views are the order of the day at Gaucho Tower Bridge, where old meets new on the South Bank skyline.

Enviably situated on edge of the Thames, this restaurant is dominated by head-turning vistas of the iconic Tower Bridge and contemporary City Hall. And once the sun goes down, More London’s glowing fountains – and the city horizon – provide a sparkling backdrop to your evening dining experience.

We've been busy at Gaucho Tower Bridge...

User

We have had our work dinner within your venue and it has been an extraordinary experience. I thank Alex whom we have dealt with, as he was very professional and the service on the night was superb, food was exquisite . keep it up! Thank you.

User

We had lunch here yesterday, 21st May. We were a party of four, two of whom were visiting from Australia. We were given an excellent table but sadly without a river view as it was such a warm day. The ambience was great, the food was simply delicious and the service was 5 star. Our male guest who is very well travelled commented on the decor declaring it one of the finest restaurants he’d visited...high praise indeed! What more can I say...highly recommend!

User

We ate here on the 17th which was our second visit and it was once again fantastic. The staff were great, our server was superb and the food was outstanding. We were sat upstairs with a great view of the bridge which was nice, our first visit we sat with a kitchen view which was very interesting to be able to watch them cook and see how the pass is managed. Our favourite steak house outside of the USA.

User

Visited the Gaucho in Chancery for a double date and had a fantastic time. Service was fantastic and we were shown the different meats and how best to have them cooked. Waiter ‘David’ was very helpful and sociable and provided and all round great service. The atmosphere was lovely and the venue was so pretty. We all had steak and it was cooked perfectly and served very professionally. Christmas cocktail was delicious too! would definitely recommend to friends

User

The service was second to none. The staff were so attentive and helpful. A restaurant with great views of London.

User

The food was amazing. But at Gaucho it's about so much more than just food. It's a complete experience. The Tower Bridge view, the interior-design, the professional yet personal service of all the staff. It's all spot on. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting London and looking for more than fish and chips. A 10 out of 10 from us. We'll definitely have diner at Gaucho next time we visit London. The best steak I have ever Tasted. Beautiful place and the customer service was 5 star.

User

Nice location, great food and excellent service! We had steak with my husband and burger, chicken breast with fries for kids. All of them were delicious. Stuff is very friendly and polite. We have been at Gaucho at different location (at Canary Wharf) before. Compare servise between two locations we prefer the 2More with Tower Bridge view. Definitely we'll go there again!

User

Myself and friends booked for the electro brunch for my 30th birthday , we was served by Klaudia who was amazing and very efficient we couldn’t have asked for better service. Great food and bubbles always flowing. We would also like to thank moni for making sure that we had everything we needed x

User

My husband and I had a lovely dinner here last night. Our waiter, Claudio (from Romania), was delightful, offered good suggestions when needed, and was perfectly attentive. Our food was delicious and our filets prepared exactly to our liking.

User

Made an exceptionally special day even more special! Zaklina our server was great, super friendly and knowledgeable! Karolina the manager was brilliant to talk to and made our visit just that bit more memorable thank you Gaucho! A chimmichurri addicts dream ;-) best steak I've ever had.

User

Lovely evening, The staff were very professional and made sure we had a good night. We were given the best table in the restaurant, overlooking Tower Bridge. Food was excellent and I would definitely recommend.

User

Gaucho is a place my husband and I will definitely visit again. 5 star service in my eyes. We visited the London Bridge restaurant on Sat 17th and we loved it!!! From the door being opened for us, to the interior in the restaurant, the bar service and the food was amazing. Claude was our host for the evening and he was very polite, knowledgeable and attentitive!!! Only slight let down is that we did not get the window seat as requested but because of the overalll service, for me that was a minor issue. Thank you Gaucho for a pleasant evening. We will definitely be back! :-) xx

User

Excellent service, great food , the lamb was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint , took my brother who was visiting the city from SA and he also enjoyed it . Great Lamb ....I recommend

User

Definitely 5* from the moment we arrived we were greeted with welcoming staff

Wished a “happy birthday” which was lovely

The food was devine although I was a little disappointed to see you have removed the creamy cheese pototes gratin from the menu !

I enjoyed my starter, highly recommend the soft crab my steak was cooked to perfection with the sides all cooked perfectly too

I enjoyed the cauliflower cheese although far too much for 2 people would be better to be offered a choice of either half a cauliflower or a whole one !

Great restaurant fantastic staff and a fantastic view

I had a wonderful birthday lunch

I have dined at three of Gouchos restaurants and have had a fantastic experience at all of them highly recommend

I will return in the future X

User

Best steak I’ve ever had, the fact you don’t have a steak knife to eat with and a normal knife slices straight through the steak is incredible. The waiter we had Rob was a lovely chap very, efficient and gave us excellent service, couldn’t fault it

User

An amazing experience ! The food was delicious, the staff was very caring and the view was breathtaking ! Perfect for a romantic dinner ! Definitely 5 stars !

User

Amazing location with view on the Tower what is amazing. We have been welcomed with a big smile, they even opened the door for me and since then every single detail was perfect! The staff was so friendly, smiling, welcoming and they truly cared it is amazing! The receptionist, our waiter (who gave amazing recommendations and showed the meatpresentation in so much details was truly passionated about his job) , the managers, each and all of them made sure our dinner was spotless and it was! Thank you so much guys!

Two friends and I went to Gaucho for brunch on Saturday (7th April 2018). We had booked this months in advance having been last year and having loved it so much, we were all so excited! Upon arrival at the restaurant it was clear that it was extremely busy - perhaps over booked and our table was not ready at our booked time so we were asked to wait at the bar.

During brunch we struggled to hear each other talk and there were only 3 of us! I practically had to sit on my friends lap to hear them both! The music was so loud - not what you expect from a brunch. Our waiter couldn't even hear us when we were ordering.

We started ordering our food and I had been especially looking forward to the Gaucho Benedict (poached egg with salt beef), however when it arrived it was not the same as the Gaucho Benedict we had last year, it was more of a 'paste' spread over half of a muffin and the spread was super thin at that, there was hardly anything on it! I was so disappointed. I complained to the waiter and he brought me another one. This one had more 'paste' but the poached egg had no yolk - it was all egg white! I gave up on this dish at this point. We tried to order one of the chorizo dishes but were told they had sold out of all the chorizo. The bacon sandwich looked like it had been thrown on the plate - 2 slightly burnt pieces of ciabatta with 2 very small straggly rashers of bacon hanging out of the side - it was so dry and tasteless, another disappointment.

Aside from the poor food and the extremely loud music, the atmosphere was more that of a trashy nightclub than a premium restaurant. There were drunk girls dancing on the chairs, shouting and screaming. I think the 'conga' went by our table 3 times! I saw at least 4 girls fall over, 1 girl throwing up in the toilet and another girl using the mens toilet. None of which you expect when you are at a 'high end' establishment.

It is a real shame to see what was a great brunch experience turn so trashy.

Sadly, we would most definitely not be booking this again.
