Our Artistic Director and CEO, Andy Watson, was delighted to present at the second Elysium Healthcare Service User Conference yesterday at University of Warwick. Geese worked with seven women recently at The Farndon Unit to create a film with filmmaker Rachel Gillies - Community Film Maker, inspired by their thoughts and feelings on their journey to recovery.
We are really pleased to see the influence of the #arts at the conference, various art forms clearly supporting servic...e users to express themselves and move forward.
We are working on three more projects with Elysium in the coming months, and you can stay up to date with these by receiving our monthly newsletter! Sign up here: https://confirmsubscription.com/h/y/72386 C4B9F201EBB

Some fantastic shots taken by Cuthbert Design, documenting the interactive performance element of our #artsandminds event yesterday at Midlands Arts Centre - MAC. The performance evoked emotion, provoked discussion and inspired new ways of thinking amongst our open and engaged audience. Thank you to everyone who attended. 👏 It is very rare we get the chance to share these performances with the public - don’t miss out on the next opportunity to see our Staging Recovery ensemble at Birmingham Hippodrome - link to tickets: https://www.birminghamhippodrome.com/cale …/acts-of-recovery/ 🎟🎭 #drama #theatre #arts #events #recovery #mentalhealth #performance #therapy #interactive #audience #engagement #birmingham #westmidlands #debate #discussion #live

How do we do it?! Ever wondered how Geese uses drama and theatre-based techniques to inspire positive change with vulnerable individuals? Want to know what the masks represent? Wondering what’s motivating the brilliant expressions on our practitioners’ faces in the second photo? All these questions and more will be answered in our training session: The Other Side of the Wall - Theatre in CJS Training Course. Some spaces are still available!
