A beautiful salon set in the heart of Chester, we do all aspects of hairdressing including wedding hair and hair extensions.
Gemma Mode Description
Hi there, My name's Gemma, I've been in the hairdressing industry for 10 years now and have loved every minute of it.
During this time I've been travelling which has given me the chance to work in salons across the globe.
My main experience has come from working in top Chester salons for 10 years but now I feel its time to venture off on my own, settle and have my own business offering top quality salon hair right at your doorstep.
I am very confident in every aspect of hairdressing; classic cutting

wedding specialist
dressing hair
hair extensionist (pre: bonded, micro loops, wefts)
I have been trained in hair extensions for 8 years giving me the knowledge to ensure you get the right extensions to suit your needs.
I am also happy to advise and help anyone with any questions or concerns to help with your hair.
My experience doesn't stop there either, I have also been on many cutting and coloring courses that have only helped me with my knowledge.

I won a competition, I had my doubts in how this could end up. However I was seen by Jess for a consultation then I had Yaz who is just amazing! Do not allow Yazβs own hair scare you off! She is brilliant! I am a plain Jane when it comes to my hair. She was honest & I left her to it. They gave me a Balayage itβs absolutely fantastic!

I saw Jess last week for the first time and I was booked in for a colour and cut. Jess spent time at the start of the appointment discussing how we would achieve the colour I wanted and how I wanted the cut afterwards. I felt comfortable and relaxed during the appointment and I'm so happy with the end result! The colour is amazing, I was at a wedding this weekend and got so many compliments from strangers as well as friends. Will definitely be booking in to see Jess again, won't be trusting anyone else with my hair from now on. Thank you so so much Jess and the Mode team :)
I called in for a blow dry with Yazmin for the first time yesterday and I've got to say I'm seriously impressed!! My hair is ridiculously thick and long and is not the easiest to make smooth...Yaz managed it no problem at all and it looks fantastic. Most people give up and use straighteners to achieve the same finish that I've got from Yaz. She is gorgeous just like her big sis Gem too xxx
I am 58 and in my life I have had many hairdressers style my hair, but this is the first time that I have had anyone come up with a style that is as easy to manage when I get home, as it is styled at the salon!
Gemma is very competent, confident, friendly and extremely able to deal with all sorts of hair (especially mine - dried to a crisp with so much home colouring!), and I would (and will) highly recommend her to anyone that I know.
Lets face it ladies, our hair is our crowning glory, and if your hair looks good, you feel good. Very very impressed! Its a big must for you to visit this talented young woman!
Had a lovely and relaxing experience at Mode Today, blow dry on my hair was fantastic & even smells Devine from the shampoo & products used.

Gemma is such a talented hairdresser, when I went over to Britain on holiday from New Zealand I had the fortunate opportunity to get an appointment with her, she listend to what I wanted, and cut and styled my hair as if she had been my hairdresser for ever! I loved it!!

Gemma has been doing my hair for over a year now and she's the only hairdresser I've ever stuck with. Great job every time. She did wedding hair for myself, 3 bridesmaids and my 2yr old flower girl (a task in itself) and all of our hair was perfect and lasted the whole day. An absolute pleasure to have around on my wedding morning and would highly recommend
