About General Medical Council (Gmc)

The General Medical Council (GMC) is the independent regulator of doctors in the UK.

General Medical Council (Gmc) Description

We register and license doctors to practise medicine in the UK to make sure that all doctors have the right knowledge, skills and experience to provide safe, high quality care to patients. Where any doctor fails to meet our standards, we act to protect future patients from harm.

Please note: Due to scheduled maintenance by ECFMG, EPIC’s online services will be unavailable from approximately 5:00am (GMT) on Saturday 30 June to 5:00am (GMT) on Sunday 1 July.
International medical graduates who have verified their medical qualification through ECFMG won’t be able to submit their application for GMC registration during this period. Thank you for your patience.
