We are looking for a reliable and skilled Musical Director/Choir Leader to take over the musical leadership of our mixed community choir of around 20 plus members, commencing March 2020. Experience of community music leading and enthusiasm are important to us than extensive experience of choral conducting. The choir is mainly taught by rote using lyrics sheets using backing tracks mainly in unison with som...e part-singing and a cappella work. Currently when part-singing the choir sing in 2 parts of the melody or harmony sang by any voice by choice. Songs are suggested by the members as well as sourced by the leader.
Generations choir is a friendly non-audition choir based in castle vale Birmingham providing members the opportunity to join together in song. Based in Castle vale, rehearsals take place 5.30pm-7.30 pm on Thursday evenings for approximately 46 weeks (flexible) with performances in the local area and central Birmingham. We are an established choir with a mixture of less experienced and more seasoned singers who enjoy working in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our genre is primarily pop songs singing songs such as Bad Moon Rising, Something Inside So Strong and One Moment One People. For the next few weeks we'll be 'busking' at Gracechurch Shopping Centre in Sutton Coldfield between 5-7pm 🎵🎶🎼

If you're out and about in the City Centre tomorrow take a break from all the hustle & bustle and come and listen to us sing between 1:30pm - 3:30pm in the Round Room at BMAG! 🎶🎵

We've been rehearsing on through the summer but having a cheeky break next WEEK (5th Sept). NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME!

We've had a few new members over the past couple of weeks and we are still happy to welcome more, so cone along on Thurs & sing away those winter blues! 😁

After a short break over the festive period choir is back this Thurs, why not come along and try us out, you will be made very welcome. 🎶🎵
